Today, on January 26, we stand with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

Access Health and Community believes January 26 is not a date to celebrate.

As we reflect on the history of this day, we recognise it as a time of mourning and reflection, and acknowledge the ongoing impacts of colonisation.

We’re committed to listening and learning from First Nations communities – as we continue our journey towards truth-telling as part of Reconciliation.

One of the ways we're taking action is supporting our staff to take an alternative day off work, instead of the public holiday.

Did you know that the Midsumma Festival is happening this Sunday? Our friends from Self Help Addiction Resource Centre - SHARC will be at one of the booths, chatting about all of the important work that they do. Come along and say hi!

Will you be at Midsumma Festival this Sunday? We will be.

Keep your eyes peeled for SHARC. We will have a booth with merch, flyers on our programs, and some lovely SHARC staff and volunteers ready to chat about all the work we do - from peer support and workforce development to advocacy opportunities, programs for families, and much more.

Come along, grab some goodies, or just say hello. We will be located close to the first aid tent at the main stage area.

There will be disruptions on the Eastern Freeway from Wednesday 7 January until late January.

Including:
🚗 Eastern Freeway closure between Doncaster and Middleborough roads in both directions from 10pm, Wednesday 7 January to 5am, Monday 12 January.
🅿️ No parking or stopping allowed along Doncaster Road between Doncaster Road interchange and Wetherby Road
🚫 Right-turn bans in place at key intersections on Doncaster Road to help ease traffic congestion.

The Lilydale Medicare Urgent Care Clinic will open on Monday 22 December.

Medicare Urgent Care Clinics are bulk billed, open for extended business hours, and people won't need an appointment or referral.

The clinic is for when you need urgent health care, but it’s not life threating, and when it can’t wait for an appointment with your regular GP.

This includes treatments for conditions like infections, fevers, cuts, burns, fractures, and sprains.

📍Find us at 17 Clarke Street, in the Inspiro building.
