We were honoured to welcome Their Majesties King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark to headspace South Melbourne today! 👑

Their Majesties met with young people from our Youth Advisory Groups, as part of a fun afternoon that included art, craft, table tennis, music, and important conversations about mental health.

Young people were at the heart of the visit, and it was wonderful to have the opportunity to showcase headspace South Melbourne, and shine a light on youth mental health support.

Sincere thanks to Their Majesties and all of the young people who came along 💚

Your kidneys play an important role in your body. They clean your blood, create urine, and control your blood pressure. 🩸💪

2.7 million Australians are living with signs of kidney disease. That’s around 1 in 7 Australians over 18 years old.

If you are at risk of kidney disease (diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, family history) we recommend you do a Kidney Health Check with your GP. This includes a blood test, urine test, and blood pressure check.

You can help keep your kidneys healthy by staying fit and active, eating a healthy diet, staying hydrated, and monitoring your blood pressure and blood sugar.

This International Women’s Day (IWD), we’re celebrating the many ways we support women in our community - from women’s health, and wellbeing to social connection.

The theme is “Give to Gain” which encourages a mindset of generosity and collaboration. When women thrive, we all rise.

Programs like “Step and Connect” in the Yarra Ranges is a great example of this. These walking groups create space for women to come together, and provides an opportunity to move more in activities that are fun, inclusive, safe and social.

If you’re looking for a women’s event to attend next week we would love you to join one of our walks!
