A long held goal of mine has come into print, researching and publishing my results on how effective shiatsu is in the management of chronic illness. This article is a case study looking at how treatments impact type 2 diabetes.

This was a new clinical way of writing, as opposed to my warmer emotive method. So quite the challenge! The result was a very happy client who is back in the driver seat with their health and feeling happier for it. Whilst educating others how they can make an impact with their own clients.

We have risen to Okido Yoga at sunrise, cooked as a community sharing knowledge and recipes to nourish deficiencies and learnt Meizo Shiatsu from the Master Maurizio Fabbri.

I feel truly blessed and will be bringing it all to you after a few weeks to explore this gorgeous country.

An aspiration brought into reality this weekend with Shiatsu Therapy Association of Australia Inc.hosting the fabulous Elizabeth Keen owner Shinma: Traditional East Asian Medicine teaching Paediatric Shiatsu - Shonishin for Shiatsu Practitioners.

I have wanted to learn more about this incredibly gentle and profoundly effective technique since seeing it turn my son’s health around. Ethan was born with very weak lung qi. In fact he was battling pneumonia twice in his first six months. Drs quickly predicted he would be an asthmatic child and loaded us up with steroids, ventolin and preventers. Six months of regular Shonishin treatments with the late Michael Hook, a beautiful gentle and wise practitioner, not only changed that prediction but also our lives forever.

To learn a needle free gentle and yet efective technique for not only children, but for teens, animals and our sensitive clientele was fantastic. Thank you to the inspiring group of practitioners who attended and made the workshop so engaging. We can’t wait to introduce these gentle techniques to our clientele.
