🩺 Ear Syringing Now Available at Robe Family Practice

We’re pleased to let our patients know that ear syringing is now available for older children and adults.

If you’d like to book an appointment, please schedule a 15-minute appointment with the doctor.

To prepare for the procedure, use Waxsol or any vegetable oil in the affected ear(s) for three nights in a row prior to your appointment.

If you’d like to book an appointment with Robe Family Practice, you'll need to complete a Patient Registration form. Forms are available anytime from reception, or you can arrive 15 minutes early to your appointment to fill one out.

If you’d also like to transfer or share your medical records from another practice, please complete the Transfer or Sharing of Medical Records form, also available from reception at 1 Smillie Street, Robe.

To the Robe community,

A quick note to let you know I’ll be away from Tuesday 10th March to Friday 13th March, spending time with my children back in New Zealand. I’ll be returning to the clinic and available for appointments from Monday 16th March.

Dr Peter Clements will be in the clinic that week and available for appointments, ensuring ongoing care for the community while I’m away.

I’d also like to extend a personal thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome to the town. I’m truly grateful for the support and friendliness I’ve experienced since arriving and couldn’t be happier to be living and working in such a beautiful place.

Meet Dr Malcolm Miller — your local family doctor in Robe!

With almost 10 years’ experience in rural general practice across South Australia, Dr Miller brings a wealth of expertise to Robe, offering services in:

Dr Miller offers prenatal and antenatal appointments, including GP Obstetric Shared Care, which allows collaborative, patient-centred care with the hospital maternity team. Under this model, he can provide ongoing check-ups and support up to 35 weeks of pregnancy for healthy women with low-risk, normally progressing pregnancies.

He is also one of the few specially trained GPs in South Australia able to assess, diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for children with ADHD (aged 8 years and above), as well as adults where clinically appropriate, without the need for referral to a psychiatrist or paediatrician.

Before medicine, Dr Miller worked as an engineer and IT business consultant. That experience in problem-solving and critical thinking now informs his patient-centred approach, making shared decision-making a key part of every consultation.

Our Robe GP clinic will be supported by rotating visiting doctors throughout the year and from July/August 2026, a female GP registrar will join the practice, helping expand access to local healthcare, increase appointment availability, and support long-term healthcare in Robe.

Robe Family Practice is now open and available to serve families across South Australia.

We are a community-focused general practice clinic in Robe, dedicated to providing comprehensive, continuous, and accessible healthcare for patients of all ages. We are proud to offer the services of a Robe Family Practice doctor and nurse five days a week, from 8:00am to 5:00pm, ensuring consistent and reliable care for our local community.

Appointments are available to all patients, including visitors and those who have a different regular practice. To make an appointment, call the Robe Family Practice on 08 7736 3606, book online via our Robe Family Practice website: www.robedoctors.com.au, or drop in and talk to our friendly receptionist team at 1 Smillie Street, Robe.

Appointment lengths include 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or longer as required. Telephone consultations are also offered, however, please note that at least one face-to-face appointment is required to be eligible for a Medicare rebate. If you haven't yet completed a new patient registration form, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to complete this form.

Bulk billing is available for all eligible services, including GP consultations, nurse appointments, telephone consultations, blood tests and results, and procedures.
