Residents and staff at Brookland Robertson came together for a truly moving Remembrance Day service.

It was an honour to pay tribute to those who served and sacrificed for our freedom, including the former servicemen and women who stood among us.

Together, we paused to remember their courage, their bravery, and their legacy. Lest we forget.

Our residents and team went all out in Melbourne Cup style; fascinators, bow ties, and even our adorable mascot Suki the chihuahua joined in the fun, rocking her very own fascinator! We had a blast playing Heads and Tails, showing off our outfits in Fashions on the Field, and enjoying a sumptuous lunch catered by the amazing Social Club. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so special — from the organisers to everyone who joined in the fun. We hope you all backed a winner!

Today our residents celebrated the spirit of the Melbourne Cup in true Hydro style; swapping racehorses for pool noodles and donning their best horsey outfits for a light-hearted splash to the finish line! 💦 🐎 💦
A huge thank you to Dana from Fully Integrated Therapies for leading our Hydro Cup class with such energy, laughter, and encouragement. Your creativity and warmth made this annual session such a joyful experience for everyone.
It was a wonderful reminder that fun, friendship, and a little bit of friendly competition can make waves both in and out of the pool!

It was great to participate again in the Day for Daniel, with dozens of residents and staff participating in the Walk for Daniel around our beautiful village. We followed this with a BBQ and morning tea, as well as a fundraiser for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.

We’re excited to share that the shade sail has finally been installed this week at our BBQ area - just in time for the hotter months, our Day for Daniel BBQ on the 31st October, and Remembrance Day. It’s a great addition to the space, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone enjoy it!

To celebrate our wonderful partnership with Terry White Turton Street Pharmacy, we surprised Alice, Theresa and the team with flowers and chocolates on World Pharmacist Day on Thursday the 25th September. Alice, we appreciate everything you and your team do for our residents and our team here at Brookland. Thank you from all of us!

A proud moment this week at Brookland Retirement Village, where our two young stars, Liv and Emma, (granddaughters of one of our residents) ran a fantastic pop-up market stall to help raise funds for their overseas dancing trip next year — such a great effort and beautiful support from the community!

This morning we had one of our biggest Tea & Tour events to date! We proudly showed off our beautiful village, with it's few remaining apartments to over 30 retirees... after dining on some delicious cake of course. 🫖 🍰 🚶‍♀️
