Originally the company was called Accommodation Network, then later ACCNet21.
Our mission at UDC is to support people with disability to love their life and live their dreams, by achieving their goals and connecting with their communities in meaningful ways. United Disability Care was founded in 1993 by a lovely lady named Deb Stewart who wanted to provide support services to people with a disability in their own home. Its operation was focused on the rural NSW regions north and north-west of Sydney, with its corporate support services and executive team offices in Tweed Heads and Ocean Shores, near the Queensland border. We provide supports in Southern QLD, Northern NSW and Mid-North Coast

๐ Physical Disability Awareness Day | 1 February
Physical disability looks different for everyone. Today is about recognition, understanding, and respect for the lived experiences of people with physical disability.
At UDC, we believe inclusion starts with listening and supporting people to live life on their own terms ๐ค

๐15 years with UDC ๐
A huge congratulations to our Branch Manager Alex in South Australia, who recently celebrated 15 years with UDC.
For Alex, the highlight has always been the people. Getting to know the people we support, and working alongside support staff and office teams, has shaped his journey from the very beginning.
โEngaging with people from different walks of life was certainly eye opening for me as a 17-year-old but I feel it has helped me to become the person I am today. You never know what each day is going to bring and that's one of the most exciting parts of the job.โ
Alex also shared a few of his fondest memories:
๐ Seeing a person we support attend the V8 Supercars through the Register Your Dream Campaign
๐ก Welcoming new people and being part of the start of their support journey
๐ค Connecting with colleagues across SA, fellow Branch and Area Managers, and remote teams
๐ Learning from our CEO Sylvia, whose knowledge and work ethic he values highly
Thank you, Alex, for everything youโve contributed over the past 15 years๐

A huge congratulations to our latest Employee of the Month, Support Worker Tammy from NSW.
Tammy was nominated for going above and beyond for the people we support at our SIL homes Illoura and Illinga.
During a challenging time, Tammy stepped up to support the homes and advocate for the needs of the people we support.

A dream come true ๐ถโจ
In December, Jai from NSW was able to experience something very special through our Dreams Campaign! He attended a AC/DC concert in Brisbane with Support Worker Kim.
Music has always been a huge part of Jaiโs life, and AC/DC is one of his all-time favourite bands, one he listens to often and speaks about with real passion. Being able to see them live, something he had worried he might never experience, meant so much.
Thank you so much to our team who made Jai's dream possible, we truly appreciate everything you do๐
