Originally the company was called Accommodation Network, then later ACCNet21.
Our mission at UDC is to support people with disability to love their life and live their dreams, by achieving their goals and connecting with their communities in meaningful ways. United Disability Care was founded in 1993 by a lovely lady named Deb Stewart who wanted to provide support services to people with a disability in their own home. Its operation was focused on the rural NSW regions north and north-west of Sydney, with its corporate support services and executive team offices in Tweed Heads and Ocean Shores, near the Queensland border. We provide supports in Southern QLD, Northern NSW and Mid-North Coast

A special day for Erica 🐬✨
As part of our Register Your Dream campaign, she recently visited Sea World on the Gold Coast for a truly special experience.
It’s easy to see why dolphin experiences are such a popular dream, with a day filled with joy, learning, and unforgettable moments💙
We hope you had the best day Erica!

Today is World Autism Awareness Day 💙
Autism is a spectrum.
Autistic people have different strengths, experiences and support needs. Some may communicate verbally. Others may use assistive technology, gesture or behaviour. Some may mask their differences in certain environments. Others may require significant daily support.
There is no single way autism “looks”.
Acceptance means recognising these differences without comparison. It means adapting environments, communication and expectations so that people can participate in ways that work for them.
Inclusion requires more than awareness. It requires understanding.

A place to call home 🏡✨
We have a small number of Supported Independent Living homes currently welcoming new housemates across QLD and NSW.
If you or someone you support is looking for a place that feels right, we’d love to hear from you.
Looking for Positive Behaviour Support in southern Gold Coast or Tweed Heads?
Our Positive Behaviour Support team works alongside individuals, families, and support teams to develop practical strategies that build confidence, independence, and quality of life.
We are currently welcoming referrals across the region.
World Down Syndrome Day is recognised on 21/3 to represent the triplication of the 21st chromosome.
Today is about visibility, advocacy and celebrating the strengths and potential of people with Down syndrome.
We believe everyone deserves opportunities to pursue their dreams, with the right support, respect and community behind them.

👏 Congratulations to Karen, our Employee of the Month!
Karen was nominated for her incredible flexibility, teamwork, and willingness to step in whenever support is needed. Whether it’s covering additional shifts, helping in unfamiliar services, or simply bringing a positive attitude to every situation, Karen consistently goes above and beyond for both the people we support and her teammates.
Her “no problem” approach and dedication truly reflect the spirit of our team.
Thank you, Karen, for the difference you make every day, and congratulations to all of our wonderful nominees. 💙

What is neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity recognises that differences in how people think, learn and experience the world, including autism, ADHD and dyslexia, are natural variations of the human brain, not deficits to be “fixed”.
From 16–20 March, we’re recognising Neurodiversity Celebration Week and the diverse strengths, perspectives and contributions neurodivergent people bring to our communities.
Inclusion begins with understanding.
Understanding begins with listening.

🔥 Community support in action
A huge thank you to everyone who came by our Bunnings BBQ and supported the day. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised $1,447.26.
These funds will go towards events, dreams, and special experiences for the people we support, helping create meaningful moments and opportunities.
We’d also like to say a big thank you to our amazing volunteers who gave their time to make the day possible, and to Bunnings Warehouse Australia for having us and supporting local community fundraising.
We’re so grateful for the support 💙🌭
