Yesterday was international kindness day and this is what Crossroads is all about!

Today we were all challenged to do one random act of kindness, small or massive.
You never know what someone may be walking through and even a smile or hug could make someone’s day.

At Crossroads this term, we have been speaking to some of life’s biggest topics.

This week we will be speaking to Fear, Worry and Anxiety.

This can feel big but the truth is there is so much hope when we learn to carry things well with our saviour

Matthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

This is the heart of Crossroads. Each week we get to share in each other’s struggles and joys but the most important thing is that we do it together. Walking hand in hand through life’s mountaintops and valleys, we do it as a family.

We are quickly approaching week 2 of Term 4 and we wanted to share with our community the theme of our sermon series for the next 9 weeks at Crossroads

We Have This Hope

Hebrews 6:19
“We have this hope, as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”
Life is full of questions and challenges — loss, fear, conflict, guilt, and change. These are not easy things to talk about, but they are real for all of us. In this series - We Have This Hope, we will face life’s tricky conversations together with gentleness and courage. Anchored in the promise of Hebrews 6:19, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure,” we will discover how Jesus meets us in our struggles with love, peace, and hope that cannot be shaken.
We want to do life WELL. Together in community and with God.
We pray this term will not only be a blessing but it will encourage and remind us turn our eyes to our true HOPE

About Us

Crossroads is a Centre-based Community Social and Recreational Activity Centre for people who are living with an intellectual and or physical disability and includes their families and support workers. Our campus is inclusive, fun and a safe place for all, and is wheelchair friendly

Crossroads is an interactive and social inclusion program that has been offered to guests and support workers since 1995 and is a place where they can enjoy worship, nutritious food, entertainment and most of all connection with their friends and our team of dedicated staff and volunteers. And as the saying goes. ‘Where I Belong’

Crossroads is open 47 weeks of the year and closed for 3 weeks over the Christmas New Year period, Good Friday and the Gold Coast show day. Please call the office closer to this time for the dates of closure.
