It has been dream as a small girl to do a medical mission, especially overseas to see how to treat different ailments that manifest I other climates.
I thought I would be serving as a Physiotherapist. I never thought I would be partaking this mission as an Acupuncturist.
I first met Dr Eileen Han last year in March, again in September and finally in December. This year I went to her clinic in San Diego to visit. Each time I have immersed myself in Dr Tan's legacy - the Balance Method, I felt myself fill with more hope.
More hope for the people in our current medical system model. That I could be one of the many inspired acupuncturist to bring solutions to ailments that trouble them. That they do not need to wait until it is "too late" to seek treatment.
There are signs and symptoms that manifest over time. I've always believed that it is important to address these as they arise, rather than waiting for a big episode of pain.
Imbalances occur in all systems of the body, not just the musculoskeletal system. I feel blessed that now I can treat these imbalances that occur in other systems of the body.
It has not been an easy journey to come to vietnam. Cyclone Alfred was due to land the day of my flight. It took many inspired Acupuncturist's encouragement, my supportive business partners effort, 19 hours of joint driving down to Melbourne to fly another 9 hours to Ho chi Minh city.
When something is hard to get and reach, you treasure it more.. it's only the 1st day of this medical mission. However I am certain I will leave a different person again this time.
Thank you everyone 💓
