Dry Needling (DN) targets what we call trigger points - tight, sensitive knots that form in a muscle.
You can often feel them as small, sore lumps, and they may cause pain in that spot or even refer pain somewhere else in the body.
These knots can develop from things like:
• stress or tension
• overuse or poor posture
• injury or strain
• nerve irritation
• fatigue or lack of sleep
• illness or nutritional deficiencies
During Dry Needling, a very fine needle is used to release the tight muscle fibres. This helps the muscle relax, improves blood flow and reduces pain and stiffness.
