I would like to inform everyone that Tailor Made Support will be unable to proceed with the One foot forward event tomorrow, Saturday 25th October.
We will be rescheduling the event for a date in November.
Apologies to all those who have made arrangements to be able to attend- and I hope to see you all at our rescheduled date, to stand in solidarity for the Black dog institutes One Foot Foward campaign.

Tailor Made Support will be participating in a ‘Walk, roll or run’ along the river this Saturday the 25th October. Meeting at 9am at Alf Kele memorial park (dinosaur park), Rockhampton.
A gold coin donation for the Black Dog institute is appreciated, but not essential. A bbq and cold drink available after the walk!

Today marks the beginning of National Carers Week (12-18 October), a time to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution carers make to our nation.

This year’s campaign, “You are one, know one or will be one”, highlights a powerful truth: caring is a journey that most of us will take at some stage in our lives.

Carers are everyday people who provide unpaid care and support to a loved one.

One in eight Australians is a carer, which represents 11.9% of Australia’s population.

Behind every statistic is a carer. They can be family members, friends, or neighbours.

Someone in your family or workplace may already be a carer. It's also possible you see yourself as a parent, child, family member, friend, or partner, but you could be one of Australia’s 3 million unpaid carers.

Care is everywhere and this week provides an opportunity for people who have a caring responsibility to identify themselves as carers and access the supports and services they need.

⚠️ 📢 🚨 Please sign the petition to try and save support coordination ⚠️📢🚨 "Right now, quality support coordination providers are walking away — not because they want to, but because they can’t survive under current NDIS funding. When they go, people with disability are left without the help they rely on. This isn’t just bad policy. It’s dangerous. The NDIA is failing in its duty of market stewardship, and in the care of its recipients more broadly. In presenting limited data to justify its decision to keep hourly rates for Support Coordinators the same for seven years, the NDIA has demonstrated is negligence towards an entire industry that it should be working alongside in good faith."

Better Coordination = A Better NDIS.

📌📍‼️PLEASE KNOW WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE! The below statement is just how we are currently feeling about the situation 😔!📌📍‼️
Sorry we have been so quiet. To be honest, we are struggling with the recent decision from the NDIA to not increase Support Coordination for the 6th year running, while the SCHADS award keeps rising and other professionals are seeing an increase in the pricing arrangements and some a decrease.
We feel the NDIS needs a WAKE UP CALL! They are trying their hardest to PUSH US OUT!
We’re not making “buckets of cash.” We’re barely making it at all.
The public’s been made to believe everyone in the sector is rorting the system — meanwhile, ethical, hard-working providers are burning out, breaking even (if that),!
The NDIS will look around one day and wonder where all the good providers went… while people with disabilities are left in the middle — stuck, unsupported, and vulnerable.
We CANNOT afford to continue working for Free - Not emotionally, not ethically and not financially.
Sadly unless something changes fast, your loved ones, yourself or someone you know will be left with nothing but systems, spreadsheets and no one like us to do the work!!!!!

Jo Spyve - Roster - Accounts -Onboarding Officer - Office Mum 🥰
Here is a little about Jo 👇
Hello! I’m Joanne, or as the office staff refer to me “Mumma Jo” and I am the Administration, Accounts and Rostering Officer here at Tailor Made Support. I joined the TMS team in August 2023 and I haven’t looked back.
I am a proud mother of 3 and Nanna to 1, I also have an amazing Husband and enjoy nothing more than spending time with my family, fishing, traveling and being present and in the moment. I am also known as the “Crazy Bird Lady” – there could be days if you pop into the office, I may have baby birds in a shoe box that I need to feed throughout the day (thank goodness for a pet friendly work environment).
My background is in administration and customer service, I have worked in real estate, the school of medicine and the building industry. I have also completed my certificate III in aged care.
The thing I love about working with TMS, is that when I come to work, it doesn’t feel like work. TMS are full of caring, empathetic and empowering people, whose passion is to help people with a disability, and I enjoy being a part of it all. I love communicating with our participants and staff daily.
