We’ve talked symptoms this Lung Cancer awareness month.
Now let’s talk about diagnosis 🔍.

Your doctor will assess your symptoms.
And may refer you for an x-ray or CT to look for changes in the lungs.

There’s also the new National Lung Cancer Screening Program available for:
🔸eligible Australians
🔸aged 50 – 70
🔸with a history of heavy smoking
Which uses a low-dose CT scan to check for early signs of lung cancer, often before symptoms appear.

🔴 If you’ve been referred for an x-ray or CT, Sunshine Coast Radiology is ready to help.
Depending on the Radiologists report, your GP may send you for more tests or refer you to a specialist.

💨Do you have enough air to last a lifetime?
November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month

In the early stages, lung cancer symptoms may not be obvious.
Here are some signs the Cancer Council urges you to watch for:
➡️ A cough that won’t go away
➡️ Shortness of breath
➡️ Chest pain that’s worse with deep breathing or coughing
➡️ Coughing up blood
➡️ Unexplained weight loss or tiredness
➡️ Chest infection that lasts more than 3 weeks or keeps coming back
➡️ Voice changes like hoarseness

Speak to your GP if you’ve noticed any changes, even small ones 🩺
