18 months ago we were fortunate to welcome Mr John Swan (orthopaedic surgeon) to the Lancefield Medical Centre.

Thankyou to the many patients who have consulted with John Swan in that time. He has been busy.

Romsey and Lancefield Medical Centres welcome Dr Sowmya Asok Kumar to our community.

Dr Sowmya Asok Kumar has an MBBS and a diploma in emergency medicine. Dr Sowmya is passionate about geriatrics, pediatrics, women's health, mental health and managing chronic disease. Dr Sowmya is also skilled in petforming minor procedures.

Dr Sowmya is very approachable and a compassionate listener and delivering efficiently holistic care.

Dr Sowmya outside of work is a keen gardener. Being raised in a family that treasures food as medicine, advocating for healthy eating habits to stave off chronic illnesses.

Dr Sowmya is consulting at Lancefield Medical and Romsey Medical Centres.

Dr Sowmya is a BULK BILLING DOCTOR. This will mean that the Lancefield and Romsey Medical Centres provides to the community Six fully BULK BILLING DOCTORS and Five semi BULK BILLING DOCTORS.

Romsey and Lancefield Medical Centres welcome Dr Nirmala Pinto to our community.

Dr Nirmala Pinto has a strong background in obstetrics, gynecology, providing comprehensive family medicine with a focus on women's health, sexual and reproductive health, pediatrics and chronic disease management.

Away from work Dr Nirmala enjoys music, cooking, hiking and spending time with her family and dog major.

Dr Nirmala is consulting at Lancefield and Romsey Medical Centres.

Dr Nirmala is a BULK BILLING DOCTOR. This will mean that the Lancefield and Romsey Medical Centres provides six FULLY BULK BILLING DOCTORS and Five SEMI BULK BILLING DOCTORS.

WELCOME DR MELISSA BEITNER.

Dr Melissa Beitner (FRACS) is a general surgeon, covering areas such as hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, endoscopy and gastroscopy.

Dr Melissa Beitner specialises also in obesity medicine and bariatric surgery. She leads a comprehensive and multidisciplinary weight management clinic (360 Surgery).

We are fortunate to have Dr Melissa Beitner consulting for the community here at Romsey Medical Centre monthly. This enables the community to see a quality medical specialist locally, without the travel. Referrals can be sent to the following email address info@360surgery.com.au

We welcome Matthew Peet (physiotherapist) to Romsey Medical Centre.
Physiotherapy now available at Romsey Medical 5 days per week. Complimenting Ben Gidley who does Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, Matthew is doing Wednesday and Friday.
Matthew is a qualified physiotherapist with a bachelor in sport science (clinical practice) and a masters of physiotherapy. With a strong interest in sports injuries and rehabilitation.
Matthew is passionate about helping patients recover from musculosketal conditions and improving their quality of life.

ROMSEY MEDICAL CENTRE STAWELL STREET UPGRADE WORKS.
Monday 12th May to Friday 20th June.

Macedon Ranges Shire Council have contracted Pendergast Engineering to undertake a road and pathways construction project in Stawell Street, Romsey (in front of Romsey Medical Centre). This includes:
- resurfacing the road
- Reconstruction of the footpath between Main Road and the Medical Centre.
- Construction of a road crossing at the Main Road end of Stawell Street.

The project will involve significant disruption to the day-to-day access to the Romsey Medical Centre.

During this period only patients with disability or need assistance and ambulances will be given access to park in the Romsey Medical Centre Car Park. Pendergast Engineering site controllers will manage access to the car park. All other patients will be required to park in either Main Road or Pohlman Street.

Pendergast Engineering have advised that there will be pedestrian access to the Medical Centre at all times.

CARDIOLAB has been providing Paediatric and Adult Cardiology Diagnostic Services for 35 years throughout the State.
CARDIOLAB provides mobility, accessibility through an experienced and knowledgeable team and now are bringing those Cardiology Diagnostic Services regularly to our Lancefield Specialist Centre.
CARDIOLAB presently is providing the following services: Transthoracic Echo, Holter Monitor. Ambulatory BP, ECG and in the future intending Stress Echo and Stress ECG.
We are all aware of the wait times for these services elsewhere and we are so appreciative of having the team here and supporting the community with these valuable services.
