Plantar fascitis & Nerve entrapments|

A wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions present to my practice and it is not uncommon to have unresolved nerve compression syndromes that co-exist with many fasciopathies such plantar fascitis, examined in the case below.

it is important to have both the sensory and motor peripheral nerves evaluated using nerve conduction studies in particular for those with co-existing numbness, tingling or weakness that is distal and proximal to the site of orthopaedic injury.

The Neurological examination|🧠

The pupillary and corneal light reflex can provide a window into the hierarchical nature of a patients/athletes neurological status that may be a cause or effect of chemical, biomechanical, neurological and other environmental influences.

Whilst conventional neurologists only see the value of pupillary or corneal light reflexes after a suspected traumatic brain injury, it however is a very powerful tool for analysis in conjunction with other neurological examination findings. This is where Chiropractic neurology has it’s point of difference!

Changes in pupillary or corneal reflex function may be seen in conditions such as:

1. Migraine and headache disorders
