If you've spoken to me about supplements, or read my book, you'll know that I'm a huge advocate for Ancestral Nutrition. But, they've now added two more to their range, Primal Body and Primal Iron, which have been absolute game changers for me.

Over the last few years, while I have done well to manage my autoimmune condition, there was one aspect that I just was not feeling - s*x. Put it down to stress, perimenopause, body image, whatever - it was so far off my radar that it had landed in Antarctica, frozen over and was never coming home. Last year, when I started PT sessions, I commented to my trainer that I felt the most comfortable in my body than I had in years and would have no problem parading around in a bikini in public (previously, I couldn't even do that in my family home, in private, with family and friends). It was progress but I still couldn't fathom the idea of s*x. Until I started taking Primal Body. Yes, it is 100% bovine testicle, and yes, I was concerned about increasing testosterone levels, but as women, we actually need testosterone to produce, and work together with, estrogen and progesterone, especially as we approach menopause. Now I originally began taking it to improve my performance in the gym because it's a steroidal stimulant; I (in hindsight, naively) did not expect it to have much of an effect on my hormones as they were all over the place. But I was wrong. Not only do I have my groove back ๐, I'm a lot calmer and loving, as though everything is in balance (and I have to say, it's really nice not feeling homicidal rage every time I look at Trev ๐).
