What does an unhealthy gut feel like?
When your gut isn’t functioning the way it should, your whole body feels it. An unhealthy gut often shows up as bloating, heaviness, or that unsettled feeling after meals — the kind that makes you loosen your waistband or wonder why a “normal” meal suddenly feels uncomfortable. These symptoms aren’t random.
They’re signals. Your gut is one of the most sensitive systems in your body, constantly responding to stress, sleep, hormones, food choices, and even how fast you eat.
When digestion slows or becomes irritated, you might notice energy dips, mood changes, cravings, or skin flare‑ups. None of this means something is “wrong” with you — it simply means your gut is asking for support, rhythm, and nourishment. Small daily shifts can make a profound difference: slowing down at meals, choosing whole foods, staying hydrated, and supporting your microbiome with fibre and fermented foods.
Have you noticed any of these signs in your own body lately?
