- Any bones you have broken, particularly if it was difficult to recover from, or has been broken more than once
- Any joints you have dislocated, especially if it occurred multiple times
- If youโ€™ve been in a car accident or similar that caused any kind of injury, even if the injury was only minor
- If you have any impinged nerves or other conditions of the nervous system
- Any surgeries that you have undergone, as scar tissue can change the sensation experienced in that location
- Unusual sensations that youโ€™ve experienced with your injury or condition, such as tingling, burning or numbness. Even if itโ€™s not where the injury is, it could be a sign of nerve involvement that needs assessing

To prevent muscle cramps and spasms, it's important to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, adequate hydration, and a balanced diet rich in essential vitamins and minerals. Stretching before and after physical activity can also help prevent these symptoms.

Some easy ways to reduce cramping and spasming muscles include applying heat to the affected area, or taking a warm bath can also help relax the muscles. Stretching and massaging the affected area can also be beneficial in relieving symptoms.

Physical therapy and rehabilitation exercises can be helpful in preventing and treating these symptoms by reducing muscle tension and improving range of motion and strength.

Our therapists can help provide you with hands-on treatments for tight, tired muscles, as well as teach you stretching and strengthening exercises that may help reduce the frequency and severity of cramps and spasms.

โœ… An EPC allows you 5 subsidised treatments per calendar year, including services like Osteo, as well as Physio, Chiro, Podiatry, Psychologist and many others - the 5 sessions are shared between all services, not 5 sessions per service
โœ… EPC's provide you a Medicare subsidy (refund) of $61.80 on your Osteo treatments under the Care Plan
โœ… You must bring your referral to the first appointment in your Care Plan - the referral includes all the important information that allows Medicare to refund you
โœ… Payment for your treatment is similar to seeing your GP - you pay for your appointment fee and then receive the refund on the spot directly from Medicare
โœ… The Medicare refund can't be provided to a credit card or as a cash refund, Medicare refund directly to your savings, cheque or debit account.

We work with a lot of people with long, complicated pain stories, so we're experienced and ready to help dig deep and come up with a plan. Its also our job to help you understand any symptoms or diagnosis that you may have already been given. Pain can be complicated. You can trust us to take big, complex explanations and turn them into easy bite size chunks, without the medical terminology that can be intimidating and frightening. In the assessment, we'll measure things like your available movement and your discomfort levels. We'll look at the way you do certain movements, like bending forward, reaching up, kneeling down - whatever movements may be related to the pain you have. We try as best we can to avoid that classic "On a scale on 1-10... Just how bad is your pain?" so we'll look for other markers as well. Things like how you feel doing daily activities, things that you modify or avoid doing because of the pain. All these things help us to come up with goals for the treatment plan. Before we start any treatment, whether thatโ€™s the 1st treatment or the 50th, we'll run you through our intended plan for that session so that you always know what to expect. We'll never stick a cup on you or put needles into you without you knowing in advance and being 100% happy with the plan. We'll also explain what kind of changes are typical to see, and over what period of time. Here's where we'll be straight with you - changing pain can take time. We'll set your expectations for the treatment plan, how many sessions we may need, and what kind of things we'll ask you to do outside of each session to support you feeling better.
