Sustainable high performance is not built on intensity alone.

It is built on the systems that support it.

Stay at the Top is a podcast exploring the science and strategies behind sustainable high performance.

Each episode leaves you with a practical tip, tool or tactic to elevate energy, strengthen recovery and perform under pressure without sacrificing your wellbeing.

Because the goal is not just to achieve success.

It is to sustain it for the long run.

Listen wherever you get your podcasts.

This is the biggest performance accelerator most high performers are missing.

Recovery.

Let’s set the record straight.

Recovery is not something you do when you are exhausted.

It is something you intentionally design into your life.

The behaviours and cadences built into your days, your weeks and your year.
Recovery is what allows you to build resilience and expand your capacity and stress tolerance over time.

Without it, performance erodes.

With it, performance compounds.

If you are serious about sustainable high performance, start with your recovery first.

One thing I keep coming back to in this space.

Leader wellbeing shapes everything downstream.

Because wellbeing isn’t a perk. It’s a capability.

And like leadership, it can be trained, strengthened, and embedded.

When research continues to show that leader wellbeing is a major driver of organisational wellbeing and performance, it’s time to stop treating it as optional.

If you want sustainable high performance across your organisation, invest in the people who set the pace.

This is about leaders putting their oxygen mask on first.

2016 - what a year!

It was a true highlight at the time. And SO much has changed since. I almost don’t recognise myself!

Back then, I was operating at one pace only. Full steam. Burning the candle at both ends.

I was a few years into my “dream career” as a sports dietitian.

Leading the nutrition program at the GWS Giants and Cronulla Sharks, and starting with Giants Netball later in the year.

This was the first time I was part of a teams Grand Final success, made even more special by their first ever. The celebrations were big!

I travelled to Europe for the first time. London, Paris and Berlin with friends. Then Italy on my own.

I visited two iconic football clubs - Arsenal & AS Roma.

I remember thinking, one day I will work overseas with a sports team. I couldn’t have imagined another career at the time.

I made my first TV appearance on The Biggest Loser.

Plus plenty of personal highlights including buying my own apartment and lots of fun with friends.

Fast forward ten years.

I am redefining my career, evolving and expanding who I am and what I’m known for.

I have my beautiful 13 month old Angel Millie.

And I am clear about what I want my life to look and feel like. Which is very different to what it did 10 years ago.

A great reminder that just because something was once ‘the dream’ doesn’t mean you can’t change your mind, completely.

Along the way I’ve also been caught up in other people’s definitions of success, what it should look like, feel like and what offers I need to have, to do that.

Coming into 2026, I feel clear.
Personally. Professionally.
Clear on what matters.
Clear on what success looks like for me.

This is going to be a pivotal year I can’t wait to look back on in another 10 years and go, I’m so glad I did the things I’d been thinking about for years and started asking for what I want again.

The problem is not that you need a new version of yourself.

It is that you have not paused to recalibrate.

In episode 2 of the of the Stay at the Top Summer RESET series, I share three simple questions to help you reset how you want to show up in 2026.

This is not new year, new me.

It is not about adding more.

And it is not about reinventing yourself.

It is about clarity.

This episode is designed to help you find it.

Season 4 Episode 18 is now live.

Which question do you need to sit with most right now?

Once you’ve listened I’d love to hear what you think below.
