Elbow pain isn’t always an “elbow problem.”

Repetitive arm use, whether through work (as is the case for this client) or play, can build tension through the shoulder, chest and upper back — even when there’s no injury and you’ve already been cleared by a physiotherapist.

Sessions like this focus on:
• unloading the elbow
• easing tension through the shoulder and upper back
• gentle release and supported mobility that respects irritated nerves

MobiFlex® with HEAT Pilates & Training

This session shows part of how training is approached at HEAT PT.

You’ll see:
• targeted TFL release
• controlled hip rotation in the 90/90 position
• hip flexor mobility and strength
• single-leg hamstring curls on a foam roller

Most people carry some level of muscle imbalance due to daily habits, sport, previous injury or prolonged sitting. If this isn’t addressed, strength work can reinforce poor movement control.

By reducing excess tension, restoring joint control, and then layering strength through range, the body is better supported to move and manage load — both in training and everyday life.

✈️ Have balls. Will travel. ❄️

Tennis balls are a great trigger point tool for tight muscles as they are lightweight and small — they fit straight into a handbag, backpack or carry-on, and can be used anywhere from hotel rooms to airports.

And now one of my complimentary tennis balls for my clients is living it’s best life in Switzerland 🏔️☕️

From airports to snowy mountains to café tables, it’s still doing what they’re meant to do:
✔️ releasing tight spots
✔️ keeping bodies moving
✔️ AND reminding us that looking after your body doesn’t stop when you’re on holidays 🧳

✨MOBIFLEX WITH THE DANCERS! 🩰✨
Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of running a full MobiFlex session for the talented students at Beverley Margaret School of Dance in Rockingham — a place that played a big role in our family’s life with our daughter studying ballet here for around 12 years. Even our son dipped his toes into tap dancing here for about 2 years.

We focused on:
✔️ Self-myofascial release
✔️ Nerve glides
✔️ Range-of-motion work &
✔️ Stretching

The dancers were incredible — focused, and fully engaged in the repertoire.

In the last few weeks, every now and then, I’ve had a little extra help in the studio — our sweet girl Rydah. 💛

Since we had to say goodbye to our beautiful 17-year-old Border Collie boy, she’s been feeling the loss and wanting to be a little closer to her people. So on the odd occasion and at the request of my clients and participants, she pops in to hang with the class, supervise the side-leg work, and apparently steal some affection, even if it’s under the guise of helping with double side leg lifts.

👣 FEEL GOOD FOOT RELEASE 👣

A quick video for you all to show you how to roll your feet with a small ball (use a small, soft ball and not a golf ball⛳️ if you are new to rolling or have a condition such as plantar fasciitis).

You can do this standing or sitting.

Do not put too much pressure on the ball, start gently and then only apply as much pressure as you can handle. It will feel a little uncomfortable but should not feel painful.

CORPORATE MOBIFLEX SESSIONS

Thank you to the lovely staff at Warnbro Community High School for having me conduct another session for them!
In this session, we focused on how to find THEIR neutral spine, how to release and activate the feet 👣 (happy feet help to create a happy body), shoulder and thoracic mobility (to help with “hunching”over desks and technology), and self trigger point release using just a tennis ball 🎾
