Rapid antigen tests can check if you may have COVID-19. These tests can be done at home by yourself and most will provide you with a result in 15 to 30 minutes.
Rapid antigen tests can only tell you if you are likely to have COVID-19. In Victoria, a PCR test is still needed to confirm if a person has COVID-19.
If you test positive from a rapid antigen test, then you must self-isolate, get tested with a PCR test, and stay in isolation until you get your results.
The reasons you should use rapid antigen tests are changing.
