Here are two of my favourite ways to support your body during pregnancy. These helped me though my pregnancies on those tight days.

Diaphragmatic Breathing
A simple yet powerful thing you can do during pregnancy — helping you connect to your pelvic floor, release tension, and prepare your body for birth.
Sit on a stability ball, chair or end of your bed with feet flat and a little wider than hip-width. Place your hands on the sides of your belly. Inhale deeply, letting your ribs expand in every direction. Feel your belly soften and your pelvic floor relax. Then exhale slowly, letting everything gently settle.

Cat Cow
Releases tension in the spine, encourages bub into a great position, and feels so good on those achy pregnancy days.
Simply start on your hands and knees, wrists under shoulders, knees under hips. Inhale through your nose as you round your back and draw your belly up. Exhale through your mouth as you arch your back and let your belly soften toward the floor. Move slowly and keep your arms long throughout.

Try 5 to 10 rounds of each and notice how you feel.

Always remember to work within your bodies limits.

In late pregnancy, swelling isn’t only about extra fluid. It can also be influenced by feeling tired, stretched physically, and carrying more day-to-day load. When the body has less time to rest and recover, circulation can feel slower and adapting to change may feel harder.

Reflexology gently works with points on the feet that are connected to circulation, lymphatic flow, and nervous system balance. It isn’t about directly treating oedema. Instead, it creates space for the body to relax and regulate, which may help fluid move more comfortably.

When the system feels calmer, fluid balance often feels steadier too.
