Doctor of Chiropractic (Canada)
Dr Reader gained her qualification as a Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Canada (1981) and has over 35 years of practice. A New Zealander by birth she immigrated to South Australia in 1982 and in1985 commenced practice in the Northern Suburbs moving into her current location in 1986. Dr Reader's father (also a
chiropractor - Palmer College USA) testified infront of the New Zealand Commission of Inquiry into Chiropractic (1979) which served as the foundation for the ground work of acceptance of chiropractic around the world today. Through-out her career Dr. Reader has also actively participated in both her professions at State and National Board levels to improve the professional standings of her professions in Australia and around the world. As a chiropractor Dr Reader has a special interest in working with patients with Chronic Diseases and Auto-immune diseases that affect the musculo-skeletal system. She uses an instrumental low force technique (Impulse Adjustor) that minimizes stress and strain on the joints and ligaments of the body when inflammatory factors are in play. In 1992 Dr Reader commenced her training as a psychotherapist and gained the qualification of Certified Transactional Analyst (Adv Dip Psychotherapy) in 2000. In 2001 she earned a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and started training psychotherapists and working as a Clinical Supervisor for chiropractors and mental health professionals. She was accredited as a Clinical Supervisor by Psychotherapist & Counsellors Federation of Australia (2012-2016) and is a member of Chiropractic Australia.
