It’s an exciting time at Podiatry Connect as we prepare for some director changes 👣

Firstly, while we are we sad to say goodbye to our long-standing director Dr Helen Banwell we wish her nothing but happiness as she focuses on her Academic career. 👣

Secondly, we are very happy to announce that our replacement director is our very own Zulaikha, who is already well known to many of our clients. Zulaikha will be here to ensure Podiatry Connect continues to offer quality services and that clients are safe and comfortable in her gentle hands. Zulaikha will now be available for consults on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Katrina will also continue to available on Fridays to help with foot health (and a laugh) 👣

Podiatry Connect are hiring!.
We are located in Europa Medical Centre (Salisbury Downs, SA) and looking for a podiatrist to join our team for 1 or 2 days a week. You will receive above-award remuneration and the ability to set your own diary. The clinic has full admin and nursing support for billing, sterilising and follow up wound care. We have 8 GPs, 2 physiotherapists and 4 nursing staff onsite, and there are pharmacy, pathology and dental services with visiting dieticians and a dedicated specialists centre within the service If this sounds interesting to you please message us directly or call Helen Banwell (0417822997).

Podiatry Connect will be closed for the duration of the level 5 lockdown requirements activated today. Telehealth is available to those who need it but otherwise we will see you on the other side. Please, please stay safe. We’ve got this SA!

😷 Masks are back 😷
As of tomorrow, masks will be required during podiatry appointments in keeping with the direction of SA health. Children under 12 remain exempt and anyone with health based exceptions just need to alert us on arrival.

An important reminder to have shoes correctly fitted for growing feet with research conducted here in South Australia showing foot function is impeded up to 30% by Ill-fitted shoes. Our director, Dr Helen Banwell was a researcher on this study and a familiar face can be seen in the story (the girl dressed in black is Helen Banwell’s daughter). If you have concerns about your child’s feet or lower limb function, why not book in and have them assessed.

Podiatry Connect are alerting clients that masks are now required for all SA health settings, with exceptions for those aged under 12 years or where health issues exist that inhibit their use.
