Just as the weather turned cool this weekend it was the perfect way to honour the season of Autumn at yesterday’s Heavenly Bliss Women’s Day Retreat at with and .grace.1122 💗
Feeling complete with cacao ceremony, learning about numerology, engaging with nature & art therapy, and ending with our very own choir! And of course all the yummy nourishing food in between 😋

Wellbeing Expo Nature Mandala 🌀🌻💜🌿
Thank you to all who stopped by to create with me, your support means so much! The rain was a little challenging but we still gathered to create something beautiful together. Seeing all your written wishes and intentions in the mandala always makes me smile (3 girls went ahead and created their own mini mandala 🥹🫶)

I love sharing nature art with others, not only as a reminder that everyone is creative and should be part of our every day living, but also as a way to reconnect with nature.
Mandalas are a gentle way to reignite your creativity and practice mindfulness, and when we pour our loving intentions and wishes into the mandala, it’s a way to allow magic to ripple out to the world.
Cos the world definitely needs more love and light right now, with all the heaviness and helplessness we are collectively feeling ☮️

Join me this Sunday at the Wellbeing Expo, Cedar Creek Hall for a collaborative nature mandala experience. I will share the healing benefits of creating art with nature as we work together to add our loving intentions into the mandala (all ages welcome!) 🌀

I think it's no coincidence - there is a speical connection between all three.

Connection to the earth, connects us to our hearts, and allows inspiration for art.

Nature and art move at a pace that aligns with our nervous system.
Technology today is fast paced which may help keep up with demands of every day living but keeps our nervous systems on high alert.
That’s not how we evolved as a species.
We evolved under tree canopies, by running water, carving tools, painting stones, walking slowly, experiencing all the sensory delights of the world.

Have you ever noticed how much deeper you breathe when you're walking amoungst trees?
How your thoughts slow when you're engaging your creativity?
If you're struggling to remember the last time you felt this way, it's probably time to change that, and I can assist you 💚

This is your reminder that you don’t have to be good at something to be able to enjoy it:

Sports, chess, puzzles, cooking, reading, gardening, any form of art etc

Capitalism makes us think that in order to spend time doing something that it must be of value.

As children we are encouraged to try new things in order to learn and express ourselves; and then as we grow into adults we lose that curiosity, however we don’t stop growing and learning…

Hobbies are important for mental health, brain development, connection to others and self expression. Without these activities we lose access to mindfulness, joy, and are at risk of developing depression or other mental & physical health issues.

So, make the bad art, play sports poorly, read all your books, stick it to the man 🙌🏼 as long as it brings you joy.
