Our books are closed 💪🏼

Due to high demand and overflowing bookings we have had to close our books to ensure our current clients and waitlist are able to be seen in a timely manner.

This decision did not come lightly and we hope to have them reopened soon when our newest team member comes on board 🙌🏼

Bek had the pleasure of attending the for Better Births on Friday 13th June.

The conference had guest speakers from all different areas of the birthing experience including obstetricians, midwives, physiotherapists, acupuncture specialists, general practitioners and researchers. Even our very own local Mel Briggs from was there to talk all things Birthing on Country and the importance to Aboriginal women and their families and community.

Bek was even involved in preparing birthing kits from .au to be sent overseas for a safer and cleaner birth experience in third world countries.

So much new evidence and knowledge learned over the day, and Bek cannot wait to bring it back to the clinic and our local area. Keep an eye out for some new things developing around pregnancy and birthing 👀 🤰🏼

Prolapse Management - Pessaries.

Pelvic organ prolapse is when the pelvic organs descend in the va**nal canal and protrude out of the va**nal opening. There are different stages of prolapse and symptoms can range from a bothersome bulge or heaviness, to a physical bulging out of the va**nal opening.

Prolapse can be safely managed through a pessary. A pessary is a medical grade silicone device that is inserted into the va**na to support the va**nal walls through bracing or suction/space occupying.

Pessaries are prescribed by a gynaecologist or women’s health trained physiotherapist and regularly monitored.

Pessaries are used as a tool for prolapse but is not the only treatment method. However, can be a great alternative to surgery.

Book in and see our Women’s Health Physiotherapists if you want to enquire about a pessary and if it is the right treatment option for you.
