TL:DR I (Jacob) will be unavailable to book from the 3rd March to 25th May due to rotator cuff surgery.
If you're pre-booked I'll be in touch to change your booking.
If you're a regular if mine please consider or for your ongoing treatment, both can be booked on our website.
I still have spots available for Feb so PLEASE get in and book now before I'm out of commission.

It's been a while (Unimassage days!) since Student Rates have been a thing but we're happy to be bringing them back for the students of UTAS!
Student rate bookings are now an option online, simply specify if you're after a 30 or 60min booking, get in touch for a 90 and make sure you have your student ID on hand when you come in for your appointment!
Thanks to everyone for your continued support and hopefully we can help some more students this way.

What do we do with a corked thigh? We stab it of course! 📌
Well we don't stab IT, we stab its perimeter.
Corked thighs are s**t. The tissue feels tight, the muscles feel tight, the whole leg feels restricted and heavy and when you sneeze it feels like it wants to pop.
But why stabby time?
Slightly subdermal placement of Chinese style acupuncture needles with a touch of clockwise winding can kick off a localised histamine response.
Histamine is a signaller for white blood cells which will mosey on down and gobble up all the metabolic waste produced from the subdermal bleeding.
This combined with some light frictioning sweeps over the tissue towards the heart will direct the waste away from the cork and should accelerate the healing process.
The end result post treatment is a substantial drop in perceived tightness around the area and a much "lighter" feeling leg.
Dunno if we helped with the sneeze-splodey sensation but time will tell!

Universal Massage will be having a slight price adjustment across the board effective 1st of August 2025.
If you have forward bookings past August we are happy to honour the 2024 price for your first booking but all forward appointments will be at the new 2025 rate.
We try to keep these things held back for as long as possible but when the rent and the laundry goes up, unfortunately our prices have to as well to accommodate the extra expenses.

Heather may be our most experienced therapist but this is her first time on the platform and she is absolutely 100% going to hit depth on those squats AREN'T YOU HEATHER!! ⚪⚪⚪

We haven't been able to properly offer our services the last few times because I had it in my head I could deadlift good but, we'll be back with our table, elbows, scrapers and (dry) needles for this years .barbell MidWinter Blackout meet.
Athletes are welcome to take advantage of our services on the day and if any have some niggling issues or restrictions leading up to the meet, please get in touch.
All 3 of us are experienced lifters and have helped powerlifters right up to, and on the day of their meets so we know what needs doing.

Don't be scared of building rapport with your clients (no matter what your teachers tell you)
Because at the end of the day, who else is going to deliver you coffee when you forgot to bring yours to work?

Hitting all those sweet spots in both heads of the Gastrocs and those cheeky Peroneals.
The post treatment feedback from this last session went along the lines of "Bloody hell were they tender for the rest of the day but they felt more free and they were good to go the next day!"
