Sailing Hansa can be an out of fun. If you haven’t sailed before you can pair up and come sailing with an experienced skipper.

Hi there
Sailability Tasmania has an enthusiastic group of sailors who go out every Sunday morning 9 am to 12 pm from DSS. The operation of this wonderful program depends on volunteers to crew the safety rib.
Currently we have skippers for these ribs but are desperately short of crew. You do not need a boat licence. You just need to be prepared to share a wonderful morning on the water enabling sailors with a disability to enjoy this sailing activity.
If you were prepared to come out just once or month or more often if you liked, or even put your name to come occasionally if the need arose Sailability Tasmania would be very grateful.
Let’s keep this wonderful program alive!

There a very few sports in the world where paraparticipants can compete on an equal playing field with others. Hansa sailing provides this opportunity. In this video volunteers have also stepped into the Hansas and the competition from everyone is very fierce 😊⛵️
You will also see that one of our very experienced and successful parasailors has taken on the role of coach.

When you volunteer for Sailability Tasmania you have the opportunity to become part of a team that trains for racing events including the women’s keelboat regattas.

When you sail with Sailability Tasmania you can be more than a passenger. We welcome you to take part !

You can always feel safe with Sailability Tasmania, for all our volunteer skippers are very experienced with years of sailing behind them. Although we are not a sail training organisation we accept new crew volunteers with little experience and we can train you in the specific skills required for these sailability adventures.
