A huge thank you to our incredible Bass 100 patrollers!

Your dedication, commitment, and countless hours on the beach help keep our community safe and make Waratah Beach SLSC what it is today. We’re so grateful for everything you do — rain, shine, or surf!

As we head into the 25/26 season, we’re looking forward to another great year of teamwork, lifesaving, and community spirit. Here’s to the season ahead — see you on the beach!

Can you lend a hand this season?

We’re on the lookout for a few enthusiastic volunteers to step in as Age Managers for our Under 6 and Under 7 Nippers groups. These roles are at the heart of helping our youngest members learn water safety, build confidence, and have fun on the beach.

If we can’t fill these roles soon, we may not be able to run the sessions for our littlest Nippers — and we’d hate for them to miss out on the start of their lifesaving journey.

No experience? No worries! We’ll give you all the support and guidance you need, and you’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team.

A huge thank you to Bendigo Community Bank – Toora and Foster Branch for their incredible ongoing support of Waratah Beach Surf Life Saving Club!

Thanks to their generous donation, we now have a brand-new custom-made Nippers trailer and Water Safety acknowledgment T-shirts — both of which will make a huge difference to our Nippers program this season.

We’re so grateful for this continued community partnership and for having the Bendigo Bank team join us at the Raising of the Flags ceremony last weekend. Your support helps us keep the beach safe and our young lifesavers ready for action!

Calling all parents and members — we need your help!

Our Under 6 and Under 7 Nippers groups are in urgent need of Age Managers for the upcoming season. These roles are vital to helping our youngest Nippers learn, play, and build confidence safely on the beach.

Without a few extra hands, we may not have enough support to run these age groups — and we’d hate for our littlest lifesavers to miss out.

You don’t need to be a surf expert — just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. Training and guidance are provided, and you’ll have plenty of support from the club.

The Raising of the Flag was a huge success on Saturday!

It was fantastic to see such strong support from our community, members, and sponsors as we officially opened the 25/26 patrolling season.

We also took a moment to acknowledge our incredible Bass 100 award recipients — recognising dedication, service, and commitment to keeping our beach safe.

With the flags now raised, the season is officially underway. Here’s to another great year of surf lifesaving, teamwork, and community spirit at Waratah Beach SLSC!
