We are putting the call out for fake grass once more.

Thanks to a few generous donations, we have been laying down pieces of fake grass to dry our wetsuits/ wash down boards and gear. It is working a treat, but we could really use more.

If you have any spare offcuts, old rolls, or odds and ends of fake grass sitting around, we would love to put them to good use at the club.

Every little bit helps and makes a big difference

We are putting the call out for fake grass.

Thanks to a few generous donations, we have been laying down pieces of fake grass to dry our wetsuits, wash down gear and clean boards. It is working a treat, but we could really use more.

Big thanks to the legends at the Sandy Point Men’s Shed for rolling up their sleeves and pouring the concrete slab for our new solar battery cabinet

It’s level, it’s solid, and it definitely didn’t pour itself. Thanks for the muscle, the know-how and the good humour along the way. We’ll be thinking of you every time the sun’s shining and the batteries are quietly doing their thing

Last call for summer job applications at the Warabar!

We’re putting the final touches on our team for the upcoming season, and applications for our Bar and Food Assistant roles will close shortly. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time.

Shifts run from 26 December through January, with full support and on-the-job training provided. Casual rates apply, and no experience is needed — just a positive attitude and willingness to jump in.

The countdown is on — only two weeks until the Waratah Bay Surf Life Saving Club Nippers program kicks off! Our young lifesavers are almost back on the sand, ready to learn surf skills, build confidence, and have fun with friends.

This season promises beach games, swimming challenges, and lessons in teamwork and surf safety. We can’t wait to welcome both new and returning Nippers for another season of excitement and memories. Two weeks to go — the beach is calling!

We’re on the lookout for friendly, reliable people to join our Bar and Food team from 26 December through January. If you enjoy working with others, love the beach atmosphere and want a flexible summer job, this is a great opportunity.

Full training is provided and casual rates apply — perfect for students, locals, or anyone after some extra summer shifts.

We’re almost there! Only a few families still need to complete their volunteer sign-up for the 2025/26 Nippers program. Thank you to everyone who has already jumped in to help — your support is what makes Nippers possible.

If you’re one of the families I contacted today, please make sure you’ve signed up for your volunteer role and provided a valid WWCC by 12pm tomorrow. These steps are required for your child to participate this season.

Nippers memberships for the 2025/26 season are now open, and we can’t wait to see our young lifesavers back on the beach learning skills, building confidence and having fun with friends.
