"No matter how difficult the past, you can always begin again today."- Jack Kornfield.

Life can sometimes feel like a collection of challenges and hardships, leaving us overwhelmed and yearning for a fresh start. Jack Kornfield's words remind us that no matter the weight of our past experiences, each day offers us a new opportunity to begin again. This perspective encourages us to acknowledge our struggles without letting them define our future.

It’s a gentle reminder that our previous choices, mistakes, or traumas do not have to dictate our present or future. Instead, we can embrace the idea of renewal, understanding that healing and growth are possible at any moment. This notion is particularly important for those of us dealing with stress, anxiety, or feelings of being stuck.

As we move forward, let us choose to focus on the possibilities that lie ahead, rather than the burdens we carry. Take a moment today to reflect on what “beginning again” means for you. What steps can you take to reclaim your peace? 🌱✨

"you have been criticising yourself for years, and it hasn't worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens." -Louise Hay

In a world where we often feel the pressure to meet certain standards, it’s easy to fall into the trap of self-criticism. Many of us have spent years doubting our abilities and worth, believing that harsh judgments will somehow motivate us to be better. Yet, it's essential to recognize that this approach rarely leads to positive change. Instead, it often breeds anxiety and burnout.

Imagine the potential within you if you chose to replace self-criticism with self-approval. By shifting your focus from negativity to acceptance, you open the door to growth and healing. Embracing who you are, with all your imperfections, fosters a sense of inner peace. It encourages you to be gentle with yourself and to acknowledge your achievements, no matter how small. 🌼

Self-approval is a journey, one that requires patience and practice. It’s about giving yourself permission to be human, with all the ups and downs that come with it. As you embark on this path, remember that self-compassion can be a powerful tool in managing stress and enhancing overall well-being. My books are open for the new year, and I welcome you to join me. Feeling like you’re “not good enough” can be a hard burden to carry. This commonly held belief often stems from past experiences or critical voices that echo in our minds, shaping how we view ourselves and the world around us. It can limit our potential, prevent us from pursuing opportunities, and negatively impact our relationships. But there is hope!

Working with a psychologist can be transformative. We can explore the origins of these unhelpful beliefs and begin to challenge them. A therapist can help you recognize patterns in your thinking and provide strategies to reframe your internal dialogue. This process fosters self-compassion and encourages you to embrace your strengths, leading to a more empowering view of yourself.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a particularly effective therapeutic technique for addressing core beliefs. By processing past traumas and negative experiences, EMDR can create rapid shifts in how we perceive ourselves. It helps to integrate new, positive beliefs that replace the old, unhelpful ones. Imagine feeling free from the weight of self-doubt and stepping into your full potential. 🌈

"Not good enough"

Ever feel like you're stuck in a cycle of negative thinking and can't figure out why? You're not the only one, and here's a secret: it often comes down to unhelpful core beliefs. These beliefs, which can emerge from past experiences or trauma, shape how we view ourselves and the world around us. The...
