Tweddle is a statewide Early Parenting Centre here to support you and your family throughout the transition from pregnancy to parenting.

Tweddle is a state-wide Early Parenting Centre offering Residential, Day Stay, Telehealth and In-home support to parents of babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Tweddle’s experienced clinicians nurture child and caregiver relationships through sleep, play and connection, strengthening wellbeing, and building resilience. Programs build parenting confidence and connect families with community resources.

This Wednesday and Thursday, our Early Help Manager Laura and Play Based Educator Nerys attended the 2026 Conference at the Melbourne Covention and Exhibition Centre.

Playgroups are centred around building relationships and learning through play, the values that we here at Tweddle really align with!

Tweddle and QEC have announced we are exploring a voluntary merger to strengthen care for babies, children and families.

For more than a century, both organisations have supported Victorian families during the critical early years. Now, as Victoria’s largest and most experienced Early Parenting Centres, we are exploring whether working as one organisation could strengthen outcomes and experiences for babies, children and families, improve access to services and build an even stronger early parenting sector.

Throughout this exploration, both organisations will continue to deliver the same high-quality care and support families rely on, with no changes to services.

Over the coming months, we’ll be listening to staff, families, partners and the community to understand what matters most and whether working as one organisation would deliver clear benefits for the Victorian community.

Today our staff came together and had the pleasure of learning about the culture of three of our most diverse client backgrounds, Indian, Chinese and Aboriginal.

Facilitated by , we learnt Chinese drumming and the history of these ancient instruments. We participated in learning Bollywood dance and how diverse each state of India really is. We got to draw Aboriginal icons and were invited to listen to the didgeridoo and learn the deeper meanings of storytelling.

Participating in these cultural activities strengthens our ties to the community we serve, and help build stronger relationships with babies, toddlers and families.
