We spent the morning refining and chatting through our report templates for powered mobility prescriptions, and then had the opportunity to test out Max’s range of scooters ourselves!

Support at Home Occupational Therapy is on the lookout for passionate Occupational Therapist’s to support older adults in the following areas
📍 Murray Bridge
📍 Victor Harbor
📍 Barossa Valley
📍 Ardrossan

This is a contractor role with all the flexibility that you need. You’ll have the freedom to manage your own schedule, work from home, and make a real impact in your community. We would love you to have at least one day equivalent of availability.

What You'll Be Doing:
▪️Scheduling and managing client appointments.
▪️Conducting in-home assessments to improve clients' functional abilities and independence.
▪️Evaluating home environments for safety hazards and making recommendations to enhance clients' safety.
▪️Educating clients and families on assistive strategies and devices.
▪️Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of assessments and interventions.
▪️Preparing comprehensive reports together with equipment and modification recommendations.

Your Checklist:
▪️Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
▪️Current AHPRA registration.
▪️Valid Criminal History Check
▪️Senior first aid and CPR.
▪️Own vehicle and valid driver's licence.

With the recent changes to the Support at Home (SAH) program, we understand many providers and clients are navigating new processes and time pressures.

We’re a registered Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) provider, with funding across all four metropolitan regions of Adelaide.

Across the sector, CHSP-funded Occupational Therapy is limited, and many clients experience extended wait times to access an OT assessment.
This is where we may be able to help.

How we can support:
✅ CHSP-funded OT assessments when clients have approval for Assistive Technology & Home Modifications (AT‑HM) before their SAH funding commences.
✅ Timely assessment, prescription, and reporting to avoid unnecessary delays.
✅ Provision of comprehensive OT reports and supplier quotes, ready to be shared with SAH providers to progress AT‑HM requests.
✅ In some circumstances, services may also be funded directly through a client’s AT‑HM budget, where appropriate.

Our aim is to support continuity of care, reduce delays, and help clients access the equipment or home modifications they need as early as possible.
