Topic: How to Stay Grounded When Someone Challenges Your Work or Teaching.
I had an experience recently that reminded me of something powerful:
Not everyone who walks into your space comes with supportive energy,
and not everyone will understand or value the way you teach, lead, or serve.
Here’s what I learned, and what I want to pass on:
You don’t need to defend yourself.
You don’t need to argue.
You don’t need to collapse or over-explain.
When someone challenges you, criticises you, or tries to take over your space, the most powerful response is calm, grounded clarity.
In my case, I simply said:
“Thank you for your opinion.
This is how I teach the course.
It’s experiential, and I’m doing my best and that’s all I can do.”
No drama.
No emotional charge.
No justifying my methods.
And do you know what?
Later, the group told me they felt the same uneasy energy I had sensed.
Your intuition doesn’t lie, and neither should your boundaries.
So if you ever find yourself in a moment where someone is projecting their frustration, ego, or old identity onto you, or what ever it is, remember:
✨ Stay calm.
✨ Stay centred.
✨ Stay in your authority.
✨ You don’t have to match their energy.
✨ You don’t have to give up your confidence to make someone else comfortable.
Your work, your teaching, and your voice are valid, even when someone else doesn’t understand them.
Hold your frequency.
The right people will rise to meet it.✨️✨️🙏💓
