Project Milestone | Perth Day Hospital (PDH) 🎉

We’re proud to share that Perth Day Hospital has reached Practical Completion - a major step in bringing a new, purpose-built healthcare environment to life in WA, designed to deliver same-day surgical procedures, specialist consulting and outpatient care.

Spanning 2000sqm, PDH has been designed and delivered to support LARU accreditation requirements, with a strong focus on safe clinical planning, coordinated building services, compliance documentation and inspection readiness.

A huge credit to our WA team, who went above and beyond to manage the final stages and see this project through to practical completion. Your hard work, collaboration and persistence have made this milestone possible.

Come on a journey through the spaces that shape first impressions, comfort, and trust - where early inspiration and moodboards are translated into considered, rendered environments. With a focus on reception, waiting areas and hallways, we’re shaping an experience that feels warm, intuitive and intentionally elevated.

For this project, our design approach began with a clearly defined objective: to design a specialist ophthalmology clinic that eases anxiety from the moment patients arrive, while supporting the clinical performance the space demands.

Our inspiration is drawn from boutique wellness clinics, minimalist yoga studios, and Scandinavian and Japanese-inspired interiors - calm, refined, and grounded in simplicity.

The palette follows the same direction: a neutral foundation inspired by natural materials, layered with warm earthy tones and tactile finishes, including linen, timber grain and stone. Muted organic greens, drawn from the brand identity, add freshness and cohesion - keeping the overall feel balanced, calm, and restorative.

✨New Project | Intensive Trauma Treatment Centre (ITTC), Stafford QLD.

We’re pleased to share the completion of ITTC, a purpose-built Intensive Trauma Treatment Centre located in the quiet, leafy suburb of Stafford, Queensland.

Spanning 573 sqm, the facility supports veterans undertaking intensive, trauma-informed treatment. The design prioritises calm, clarity, and comfort - creating spaces that feel grounded and intuitive for both clients and practitioners throughout the day.

A palette of neutral, muted tones and earthy, natural hues was selected to support emotional regulation, reduce overstimulation, and foster a sense of stability. Consistent finishes throughout the centre create visual continuity, helping to reduce cognitive load and maintain a seamless, soothing experience across all spaces.

With 29 counselling rooms and a clear, efficient layout, the centre balances operational needs with a strong, human-centred focus. Every space was designed to feel safe, welcoming, and comfortable, acknowledging the importance of calm, consistency, and dignity for veterans spending extended hours in treatment.

This project reflects our approach to healthcare environments - considered, functional, and supportive of meaningful therapeutic outcomes.

As the year draws to a close, it’s a meaningful moment to reflect on the projects, partnerships and milestones that have shaped the past 12 months for the Perfect Practice team.

We’ve had the privilege of working alongside incredible clients and collaborators, delivering healthcare environments that balance performance with experience. One project we’re especially proud to revisit is The Grove Dental - a repeat client whose Rouse Hill practice has recently been featured by Healthcare Snapshots, a leading global platform celebrating excellence in healthcare design.

The feature highlights a space that thoughtfully balances clinical precision with warmth and calm. Through considered materiality, gentle forms and an intuitive layout, the project reinforces a core belief we return to time and again: great healthcare design isn’t just about function or aesthetics — it’s about how people feel within a space.

Following last week’s handover of the Matrescence Birthing Centre in Southport, we’re delighted to share a closer look inside the space and to acknowledge the dedicated team who brought this pioneering project to life.

End-to-end design and construction delivered by Perfect Practice, this facility reflects a new standard in women-centred healthcare: calm, connected, clinically considered, and purpose-built to support the full journey of matrescence.

This week’s handover event brought together our client, our project partners and members of the wider network who contributed to this historic milestone. It was a privilege to stand alongside everyone who played a role.

Last Wednesday marked the official handover of our flagship project - the Matrescence Birthing Centres in Southport, Queensland, a pioneering model of care and the first of its kind in Australia.

From the outset, this project carried a bold ambition: to redefine how women experience birthing and to create a space that supports the full journey of matrescence - identity, confidence, community, and care.

Our visionary client set out to champion a new era of birthing environments and we, the whole team at Perfect Practice, are extremely honoured to have been selected as the design and construction partner, to bring this pioneering facility to life. Delivering an end-to-end D&C solution grounded in clinical excellence, operational precision, and a profoundly human-centred approach.

Every element from flow and safety to colour, comfort, and calm was crafted to elevate the birthing experience and expand community choice.

As Shellandar beautifully shared:
“It’s ready to become a beautiful space for women and offer more community choices for birth.”

This milestone reflected the very best of collaboration, innovation, and our shared purpose.
