Did you know that the concept of a weak core causing your back pain is a myth!?

It is so commonly talked about and advised to do core strengthening exercises for anyone with back pain, though this is helpful as it gets you moving and exercising it is not the full answer to your pain!

General exercise which includes everything and anything that you enjoy such as walking, jogging, whole body strengthening, weight lifting and the list goes on....
is just as beneficial for your pain. Focusing on activities and exercises in which you enjoy will have a greater impact that strengthening your core on its own.

Core strength is still a great thing to work on but it is not for the reason we believe nor is it the answer to the pain.

Pain can have a significant impact on your physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing, and it can also affect your ability to engage in activities that you enjoy including playing with your kids!

If this resonates with you it might be time to book in for your Exercise Physiology assessment to get to the root of your pain and start improving!

Why seeing an exercise physiologist is beneficial for ACL recovery 💪

➡️Customized exercise programs: Exercise physiologists can design personalized exercise programs that are tailored to the individual's specific needs and goals. This can help ensure that the exercise program is safe, effective, and appropriate for the individual's level of fitness and injury.

➡️Rehabilitation exercises: Exercise physiologists can provide exercises that can help restore range of motion, flexibility, and strength in the knee joint. These exercises can also help improve balance and coordination, which are essential for preventing future injuries.

➡️Sports-specific training: For athletes, exercise physiologists can provide sports-specific training programs that can help them return to their sport safely and effectively. This can include exercises that mimic the movements and demands of the sport, as well as drills that can help improve performance.

➡️Monitoring progress: Exercise physiologists can monitor the individual's progress and adjust the exercise program as needed. This can help ensure that the individual is progressing at an appropriate pace and is not at risk of re-injury
