How long does skin renewal take? 💫

Skin turnover happens in the epidermis (the outer layer), where new cells from and gradually move to the surface.

This cycle averages around 28 days in younger skin, but can slow to 40-60 days or longer with age.

The dermis, the deeper layer, contains collagen and elastin that support the skin’s structure. Changes here tend to occur more gradually over time.
