It was early evening. We called in a safe space.
Two men sat quietly around a fire on Djaara - Dja-Dja-Wurrung country. When one asked a simple question of the other. An idea was born:
“..What would it take to get a small group of men together for a deeply connected gathering out here on country?..”
That night we dreamt in a powerful gathering. One that redefined the stereotypes around how men connect. A sacred place where men could share open
ly, deeply. To be truly seen & clearly heard. Where time would slow down. Where we would listen to and learn from one another. A place where a man might imagine & welcome in a more connected version of himself. To become a better man
That Autumn, 15 men answered the call. The first Gathering Men took place on country at tanderrum. The land was acknowledged and slowly awoken. Our community backed us. With belief, kindness, encouragement & wholesome food cooked with love. The gentle guiding hand of Gunditjmara - Djabwurrung Elder Uncle Edward Alfred Egan-Lovett helped show us the way. Yet, it was the men themselves that really started something that first Autumn Gathering

Basking in the afterglow of our Spring On-Country Retreat. These events are truly transformational. No other word for it. We get to witness men connect so deeply. With themselves, each other, Country, culture and all that they love most in their lives. Such a privilege. So much love for the hearts of men. As they shake, tremor & crack open. Letting it all out so that the light may flow back in.
A new facilitation constellation was born this retreat. 4 men helping hold space & guiding safely together. A magical recipe resulting in a beautiful space held safely in all 4 directions. All built on curiosity, creativity, joy, communication, wisdom & experience.
Thank you for your care, vision, belief and loving delivery. Thank you for your love, spirit, song, breath & spark. Thank you .th for your care, honesty, trust & joy. Together, we did it.
Deep respect for .inc & Dave for sharing culture, story, lore and wisdom. Respect to all Dja-Dja-Wurrung mob for your ongoing support. Always was. Always will be. We love this sacred Djaara Djandak & Murrup & bring our best to care & share.

Reflections by the River: A Journey of Renewal and Connection. We’re loving the beautiful balance of Japanese life here by the stunning Nikikoshi River on the Izu Peninsula.
Whatever it is, we do, it’s so vital to take the time to replenish and reground. To wash away our story and to re-Ground in our purpose. This November that is exactly what we will be doing at our gathering men spring retreat. We invite you to join us.

Another beautiful night together under the stars around the fire for our last Gathering Men Naarm / Melbourne Metro Sharing Circle for 2025.
Gratitude to all the men who show up at these circles. It's so easy not to. Yet they continue to make that choice. For themselves. For one another. For the people they love in their lives.
It was a wonderful mix of ceremony, metaphor, heartfelt sharing, deep listening & honouring. A blend of youth and experience. Men taking healthy risks together in a space of safety, permission & vulnerability.

Our final Gathering Men Melbourne Metro Circle of the year happens this Saturday 11 Oct 6-9pm at The Venny, Kensington.
