Thank you to for shining light on this very real and unspoken truth of the lives of many women. Pain with in*******se (dyspareunia) is more common than you might think, and it can feel like burning, aching, or even sharp pain.

As a pelvic health physio, I work with women experiencing this to address underlying issues like pelvic floor tightness, tension, or imbalances. Every person’s pain is different, but with education, tailored exercises, and hands-on techniques, we can work together to reduce pain and improve comfort.

If you’re struggling with this, know that you’re not alone, and help is available 💜

Did you know the pelvic floor is made up 2 layers of muscles and ligaments?!

These muscles help support the pelvic organs to prevent the following:
✨ Incontinence (the involuntary loss of urine or faeces)
✨ Prolapse (lack of support) of the bladder, uterus and bowel

The pelvic floor muscles also help you to control bladder and bowels function, such as allowing you to “hold on” until and appropriate time and place. Thank goodness for those pelvic floor muscles!

Did you know the pelvic floor is made up of 2 layers of muscles and ligaments?

Practising these good habits will help support the pelvic organs to prevent the following:
✨ Incontinence (the involuntary loss of urine or faeces)
✨ Prolapse (lack of support) of the bladder, uterus and bowel

The pelvic floor muscles also help you to control bladder and bowel function, such as allowing you to “hold on” until an appropriate time and place. Thank goodness for those pelvic floor muscles!
