Today at our ๐๐๐๐ซ๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ & ๐๐ข๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฒ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐, we spent meaningful time across programs talking about what autism actually is, how it can be different for everyone, and why itโs so important to respect, include, and value all people.
Through open conversations and shared learning, we moved beyond awareness and into true acceptance, deepening understanding and respect for neurodiversity. Every conversation makes a difference, helping us foster genuine inclusion and actively reduce the stigma surrounding autism.
This also emphasised the benefits of group activitiesโlearning together with your peers, recognising that no two people are the same, and understanding that difference is a strength. These shared experiences help build acceptance of all individuals in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment, where everyone feels they belong.
Of course, we marked the day in the official colour of World Autism Acceptance Day, with everyone proudly wearing a splash of ๐๐๐๐ โจ๐.
And yesโฆ you guessed itโthere was a special lunch, thoughtfully created and organised by our amazing crew, followed by the whole group coming together to reflect and learn more about autism, headed by our very own participants. They kept the floor engaged while sharing firstโhand experiences, highlighting how people with autism may simply see the world a little bit differently.
