MEET STEPH 🙋🏻‍♀️
Steph has been a Remedial Massage Therapist since 2018 completing her diploma in Melbourne in the same year she moved to the Goulburn Valley with her family. Steph now lives with her husband and four children on a small property north of Shepparton with their two dogs, a horse, a pony and a cat. When Steph is not working or studying she is taking the kids to their sport activities, playing netball, renovating their home or riding her horse. This year she achieved her goal of riding in her first reining competition, after not competing in a horse sport since she was a teenager, and after beginning the sport in 2022.🦄

Steph is a kind and empathetic soul who loves to look after people and make them feel better in their body. 🫶🏻Her philosophy for treating the body combines both remedial and relaxation techniques to minimise the infliction of pain and discomfort both in and following their session, which is based on pain science and its effects on the human nervous system, not on whether you can "handle the pain". 💪🏻

Her experience as a mother, with children in both primary and secondary school, and a wanna-be-athlete makes her passionate about working with all members of the family, but in particular expectant mothers and their ever growing children. She strongly believes we have a responsibility to our children to teach them the value of their body and not to take it for granted as many of us have done in the past.🤰🏻🏃‍♂️🏆

Steph is currently available for Pregnancy, Remedial and Relaxation massage for all ages, and holds provider numbers for claiming with your private health insurance company. 🥰

So proud to be a sponsor of this amazing family club and community that we call home 🥰

With the husband on the committee, both of our boys playing in the junior footy, Under 17s and Under 11s, the girls set to hit the netball courts in the coming years (currently content in NetSetGo) and myself a part of the netball seniors team, we love our mighty Katandra Kats!

💥New Sponsor - All Family Massage 💥

Katandra Football and Netball Club is excited to welcome Stephanie and Neil McMullen of All Family Massage on board as Sponsors for season 2023.

With junior players coming through the ranks, the McMullen's have been tireless workers across the club and we couldn't thank them enough for their ongoing support and commitment.

The community is very fortunate to have access to a high level service with online bookings available at: www.allfamilymassage.com.au

It all starts with family

So I often get asked in clinic why I became a Remedial Massage Therapist, so here goes....

When I was about 7 months pregnant with baby number 4 and the twins were 18 months old, we realized that their speech patterns were not developing as planned. As it turned out one in particular had a nasty tongue tie which was also causing issues with his eating we had initially put down to “his individual quirks”. We were referred through a friend to an amazing chiropractor who had a specialized interest in this type of condition as well as babies and children in general and so began a course of treatment which later expanded onto the rest of his body and then further onto the rest of the family. Very soon we were taking over her clinic with family sized appointments.

It was through these treatments that we were performing regularly that I reignited an interest and passion for the body. I wanted to know how it worked, why it worked like it did and why these problems had been developing in my kids and other people around me. So yeah, I was hooked. By that time I was a Mum of four and the idea of managing that full household and returning to a full fledged university degree to become a chiropractor or the likes expanding over the length of my children’s childhood didn't seem plausible. What had really interested me however was a Diploma in Remedial Massage. It was something, with a little organizing and help from surrounding family, we decided we could manage.

I maintained a solid interest in infant and child development throughout my course, and upon completion of my Diploma (and thanks to a beautiful Christmas gift from my husband) continued on to become a Certified Infant Massage Instructor so that I can share my interest and passion for children’s health and development with other parents and caregivers.
