Well after a long period trying to get my hands to function normally without pain I have had to make the difficult decision to stop caking 😢
Even though my carpel tunnel has been resolved the arthritis in my thumbs is making even everyday living painful.
Going forward I will still be doing some baking for the Karoonda Community Craft Shop and the occasional cake for the family.
I am so grateful for the support the local community has shown me and if there is anyone out there that would be interested in starting a creative journey with some lessons and equipment please reach out.

Some sourdough foccacia in the oven now. I will be at the Karoonda Community Craft Shop from 9am this morning.
Also with some bickies and cake ready for morning tea.

Well the carpel tunnel surgery was a success! However the recovery from the surgery is taking longer than I thought as I am still suffering some wrist ache and reduced hand strength.
On top of that some of the pain is still with me but is attributed to arthritis in both thumb joints.
So I have decided to take an extended break to allow my hands some time to heal. I have a holiday booked for March 2025 and will reasses my situation after that.
I am disappointed not to be creating Christmas treats but hoping I might manage a few things for the Karoonda Community Craft Shop as I feel able.
A big thankyou to all of you that have placed orders this year and I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas 🎅

So this is me for the next couple of weeks. I had Carpel Tunnel Surgery on both of my hands yesterday and will be wearing these splints for 2 weeks. Hoping I will be back to normal for Christmas orders in December. 😃
