We are extremely grateful to for the generation donation of this AED
They have been campaigning very hard to increase the number and range of defibrillators in the region to help save lives of community members.

Their campaign is on honour of the Late Dr Barry Gray.

Thank you guys for the awesome work you do.

Hello again,

Our connection with the phone and internet seems to have picked back up.

Thank you to everyone for working with us and the extra patience.

Enjoy your day :)

Back again with an update;

We have been on the phone and had tech support out, and there unfortunately isn't a quick fix for this issue as of yet.

We are still working to resolve this asap, but until then, we are active and answering emails. Dr. Zameer has offered his mobile number to contact reception with, if necessary. < -- >

Until we get this sorted, email or phone is the best way to contact us as hotdoc is also at this point, unconnected.

Thank you

03/12/2023

Good Morning,

We are working to resolve the phone issue again this morning, and will update when possible

Until this issue is rectified, we are more than happy to communicate via email and take bookings on hotdoc.

Thank you for your patience, and stay tuned :)

01/12/2023

Good Evening everyone,

We suffered some unfortunate difficulties that stopped us from recieving phone calls, faxes and emails, and properly billing patients throughout today.

We want to apologise for any difficulties or confusion this has caused, and genuinely appreciate your patience today as we worked to resolve the issue.

We hope to have everything running normally on Monday, and will update the circumstances as we go.

Please disregard the phone numbers and/or email addresses used today, as the surgery's contact number is 44487105 and email is reception@shoalhavenheadssurgery.com.au

Thank you once again, and see everyone next week

πŸŽ—οΈ October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month πŸŽ—οΈ

This October, we want to remind you about the importance of breast cancer awareness and early detection. Breast cancer affects both men and women, and early detection can make a significant difference in treatment outcomes.

🌸 What can you do this Breast Cancer Awareness Month? 🌸

1. **Self-Exams**: Perform regular breast self-exams to familiarize yourself with your body and detect any unusual changes. If you're not sure how, don't hesitate to ask our medical professionals for guidance.

2. **Mammograms**: If you're over 40, or if you have a family history of breast cancer, consider scheduling a mammogram. It's a vital tool for early detection.

3. **Know Your Risk**: Understanding your risk factors is crucial. Talk to our doctors about your family history and other risk factors to determine the best screening plan for you.

4. **Spread Awareness**: Share this post and other breast cancer awareness materials with your friends and family. Knowledge is power, and spreading awareness can save lives.

5. **Support and Encourage**: If you know someone who is going through breast cancer, offer your support. Sometimes a friendly face and a listening ear can make all the difference.

Remember, early detection and prevention are key in the fight against breast cancer. Your health is our priority, and we're here to support you every step of the way.

For appointments, questions, or concerns, don't hesitate to contact Dr Temi or Dr Zameer.
Together, we can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. πŸ’ͺπŸ’—

Ladies, your bone health is a crucial aspect of your overall well-being, and we're here to help you understand why! πŸ’ͺ

🌟 Did you know that women are at a higher risk of osteoporosis as they age? But here's the good news: there are steps you can take to maintain strong and healthy bones throughout your life.

πŸ₯¦ Balanced Nutrition: Ensure you're getting enough calcium and vitamin D through your diet or supplements. These nutrients are essential for bone health.

πŸ‹οΈβ€β™€οΈ Stay Active: Weight-bearing exercises like walking, jogging, and strength training can help maintain bone density and strength.

πŸ’Š Regular Check-Ups: Schedule regular check-ups with our expert female GP, Dr. Temi. She can assess your bone health and offer guidance on prevention and management.

🚬 Avoid Smoking: Smoking can weaken bones, so if you smoke, consider quitting to protect your bone health.

🍷 Moderate Alcohol: Limit alcohol consumption, as excessive drinking can harm your bones.

🌞 Sunshine Vitamin: Spend some time in the sun to boost your vitamin D levels naturally.

πŸ₯› Dairy and Alternatives: Include dairy products, fortified non-dairy options, and leafy greens in your diet.

Let's make bone health a priority and take the first step towards a stronger, healthier future. πŸ’ƒ Your well-being is worth it!

Have questions or need more information? Reach out to Dr. Temi for expert advice on how to protect your bone health. πŸ©ΊπŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ
