• UPDATE •

Hello! It’s been a very long time since I’ve shown up here properly, but I am now ready to update you on what’s happening going forward!

I recall a fair few of you messaging when I was pregnant and saying “hey don’t rush mat leave, come back when you’re ready, it’s a big shift”

Well, I’m here to say… you were right 🥲

I have made the decision going forward that I will be extending my mat leave, and not seeing any clients for the foreseeable future.

Although I absolutely love my job and running my own small business, I also recognise right now I do not have capacity to give it the attention it deserves. With the office space closing, it felt like natural time to put a pause on things.

I will return sometime in the future, but for now I plan to lean into the season I’m in!

I just want to say a huge thank you for the ongoing support and community that is on here. I feel very grateful for the opportunities and connections made!

I’m currently finding instagram just not helpful and the doom scrolling does a number on my energy/mental health. I’ll be less present on here, and will be using my very limited time to try and read and garden more!

It’s not goodbye, it’s see ya later 👋

Due to pregnancy & my body not being best pals, I have had to begin maternity leave effective immediately.

I will not be available to contact during this time, however, will provide adequate notice to all clients before I return to ensure they can secure their appointments. Once they’re booked in, I will I’ll open my books according to my capacity.

Thank you for your continued support & I’ll catch ya later 👋👋

Helloooo 👋👋👋

Just me popping on to say that I officially begin maternity leave on the 11th of April, and will be unavailable to contact until my return. I haven’t organised an exact return date, because if I can take anything from pregnancy, it’s that this is all unpredictable and it’ll change if I did that anyway 🤷‍♀️🥲😅

In saying that, I will give plenty of notice before returning and ensure all clients will have a spot available. Once they’re booked in, then I will open my books according to my capacity.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thank you all for your continued support 💗

It’s been a minute, so thought I’d update you on what has been going on 🌻

I wasn’t originally going to post on social media, but then realised I probably shouldn’t keep disappearing from my business 😅 I am pregnant! (Swipe to see our little baby boy) It has been quite the journey and nothing like what I had expected. I hit six weeks, and then Hyperemesis decided to make a very loud & unwelcome appearance. Spending most of my first trimester in hospital, or having nurses in & out of my home, and bed ridden. It was no joke, and probably one of the most traumatic times of my life. Most women who go through Hyperemesis it doesn’t end after first trimester, but somehow for me it did. A big shoutout to who advocates for women going through this awful condition. Thanks to their advocacy I had access to resources, medication & my local hospital was equipped to know how to handle the situation. I am so blessed to have had a strong support network, and even then it was hard… I feel for women that have to go through that alone.

Rebuilding strength & confidence again has been quite hard, but I am very thankful that I have been able to return to everyday life again and have a sense of “normal” (even if I’m tired all the time 🤪)

I am still in the process of figuring out maternity leave and what that will look like, but will keep you updated!

In the foreseeable future I will not be taking on new clients, and will be focusing on the ones I have now!

Thank you all for your continued patience & support as I navigated running a business while not being well! It has been SO lovely reconnecting with clients again! I absolutely love what I do.

If you have any questions, please let me know! 🌻🤗

How is your stress going at the moment?

Breaking the cycle of stress is not easy, but it is possible. This involves a continuous process and is best to take one step at a time.

Here are some tips to get you started:

👉 Identify your stressors, e.g., keep a log in your journal

👉 Look for more positive coping mechanisms, e.g., better sleep, boundaries, etc

👉 Ask for support

Ask people how they would like to be supported, don’t tell them.

There can be a temptation to give unsolicited advice, or throw in some positive remark. We often do this because we feel uncomfortable, and want to fix it! Look, I totally get it, and often slip into the “fix it” mode.

A judgement free zone that offers support is so important. You don’t have to fix the problem, but you can help them to access support.

One of the most frequent questions I get in the therapy room is: “how do I know I’m in a healthy relationship?”

This question is so frequent due to the fact that a lot of people are relearning what a healthy relationship looks like. Whether you’ve had an abusive parent, partner, friend, family member, etc, this can all impact how you view relationships.

It can take time to relearn what a healthy relationship looks like, and also relearning how to trust yourself in this process. If you have faced abusive relationships you may know that they leave you feeling lacking, and second-guessing yourself.

You are SO worthy of healthy relationships where you are respected, cared for, and are treated as an equal.
