🌱 A huge milestone for Bright Starts today

We completed our first ever Bright Starts lawn mowing job as part of our supported employment and capacity-building program.

The boys took on a full yard tidy — mowing, whipper snipping and weeding — building practical skills, confidence, teamwork and pride in their work.

This is what supported employment is all about: real work, real skills and meaningful opportunities.

Our Bright Starts lawn care service is officially off the ground, with pressure cleaning also available.

We’re excited to be offering upcoming training courses including:

These courses are open to our participants and the wider community and are designed to support pathways into employment and independence.

🌿 Lake Keepit Camping Trip – What a Weekend! 🏕️

This weekend our small group headed out to Lake Keepit for a jam-packed camping adventure, and it did not disappoint. Over three days the group enjoyed fishing, swimming, camp cooking, movie nights, stargazing, and exploring Tamworth — including checking out the Country Music Festival atmosphere and the Golden Guitar.

Camping trips like this are all about building independence, confidence, and real-world life skills. Participants worked on setting up swags, managing their own spending, making choices as a group, and navigating social situations — all while having fun and creating memories.

There were plenty of laughs, good chats around the camp, and opportunities for everyone to step outside their comfort zones in a supportive environment. Huge effort from the group over the weekend 👏

Another great example of why small-group camps are such a powerful way to support growth, connection, and independence 💪

✨ Week One of Kids Club = HUGE SUCCESS! ✨

What an amazing first week of Kids Club! The kids had an absolute blast and the smiles said it all 💛

We got stuck into messy play, volcano making, water fights, paper plane challenges, slime creation, and even life-size self-portraits 🎨💥💦

Kids Club is open to our current participants, their families, and the broader community. These school holidays, it’s our way of giving back to our families and creating a safe, fun space for kids to connect, play and just be kids.

👉 We still have spots available next week – Tuesday and Thursday
More messy fun, laughs and memories to come!

🎨🌟 Bright Start Kids Club is back these school holidays! 🌟🎨

Looking for something fun, social and engaging for the kids these holidays?

Our Kids Club is open to everyone and is the perfect place to make new friends, get creative and have loads of fun.

✨ This is a fully inclusive event – you do not need to be on the NDIS to attend.

💛 Free of charge, with lunch provided – our way of giving back and sharing what we’re all about.

🗓 Dates: Jan 13th, 15th, 20th & 22nd
⏰ Time: 9am – 3pm
👧🧒 Ages: 6–16 years

🌋 Fun experiments

This year has been full of effort, growth, courage, and so many wins — big and small. Watching you try new things, build confidence, and work towards your goals has been incredibly inspiring. You remind us every day why this work matters.
