🌻 Invisible Disabilities Week (19–25 October) 🌻

Globally, 1 in 6 people live with a disability and up to 80% of those are non-visible. That’s over 1 billion people living with conditions that aren’t immediately apparent, including neurological, cognitive, sensory, mental health and chronic conditions.

At Carers Queensland, we support greater awareness and inclusion for people with invisible disability and their carers.

🌻 "The Hidden Disabilities Sunflower is a simple tool for you to voluntarily share that you have a disability or condition that may not be immediately apparent – and that you may need a helping hand, understanding, or more time in shops, at work, on transport, or in public spaces.

Just because you can’t see it, doesn’t mean it is not there."
