Comment on “Immediate effects of three different upper trapezius trigger point techniques on pain intensity and pressure threshold in students with cervical pain: a randomized clinical trial” - We read the randomized clinical trial assessing the immediate effects of three upper trapezius trigger-point techniques (strain–counterstrain, post-isometric relaxation, and muscle energy technique) versus a sham procedure in physiotherapy students with cervical pain and an active myofascial trigger point [1]. The pragmatic focus on commonly taught techniques, use of standardized outcomes (pain intensity, pressure pain threshold, and cervical range of motion), and inclusion of a sham comparator are notable strengths.
