At 11am we take a moment of silence to reflect on their service.

This Anzac Day, we come together to mark the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing—one of our nation's most significant occasions. It is a day that holds deep meaning for many of our residents and their families as we reflect, remember, and honour the courage and sacrifice of our service men and women.

Their legacy lives on in the stories we share, the respect we show, and the gratitude we hold.

Lee Ann, our Village Manager here at Scarborough Mews Retirement Village is a shining example of leadership built on kindness and dedication.

For the past 20 years she has been a valued member of the RetireAustralia team, starting out as a personal care attendant and embracing every opportunity—from kitchenhand and cook to cleaner, administration assistant and beyond.

Lee Ann has built rapport with residents based on genuine care and integrity. Recognising her passion and focus on residents’ health and wellbeing, Lee Ann’s managers sought opportunities to stretch her and further her career.

After 13 years of dedicated service at Glengowrie, Lee Ann’s leadership earned her a promotion to Village Manager at Wisteria Grove and Spring Grove, where she made a lasting impact on residents and team members. Coming full circle, Lee Ann now leads the Scarborough and Glengowrie teams with the same heart and vision that has defined her career.

We’re so proud to have Lee Ann on our team! ✨

This Remembrance Day, we reflect and pay tribute to the men and women who have given their lives or suffered for Australia's cause in wars and armed conflicts. At RetireAustralia, we honour the many residents and team members who served or who have relatives that served and for their bravery and dedication.

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month we pause to remember. Their service will not be forgotten.
