Another insightful and enlightening presentation of the APASC 25 conference held on the weekend was the one on improving physiotherapy care for indigenous peoples with musculoskeletal conditions. It emphasised the importance of individualising and tailoring care and its provision to individuals.

With over twenty years of clinical experience as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist, and as co-director of the Spinal Pain Research Centre, Mark Hancock addressed the future of advanced physiotherapy care of back pain.

Mark's presentation discussed recent advances in understanding how best to assess and manage low back pain, underpinned by the theme of the importance of advanced communication and coaching skills.
