STAFF RECOGNITION AWARDS
At the St Nicholas Lunch, the following staff were acknowledged for their many years working at St Nicholas Nursing Home by receiving service awards.
Firoza Mohammad for 20 years at St Nicholas, Helen Papadopolous for 26 years, Julia Oliveira for 26 years and Antonia Kokkoris for an outstanding 42 years!!! Congratulations ladies and a big thank you for your dedication to St Nicholas Nursing Home. 👏👏👏

ST NICHOLAS DAY LUNCHEON
Residents and their family and friends celebrated The Feast Day of St Nicholas, our nursing home’s Patron Saint with a magnificent lunch on Sun 10th Dec. The Greek Ladies Philoptohos of St George are to be commended for putting this fabulous event together. Well done ladies!! It was a well attended event with delicious food cooked by our very own kitchen staff. Yia sta heria sas ladies! We were entertained all afternoon by the very talented Nick Paras. Our residents had a wonderful day! Thank you to all members of Ladies Philoptohos, St Nicholas staff and Board members and all family and friends who helped on the day. It was a team effort. On the day we received donations for the new lift from the Theodosiou Family, Arvanitakis Family, The Greek Community of St George, GOYA, the Cypriot Association, the Pan Kos Association, the Peloponessian Association, the Chios Association, E&M Drivas, Ladies Auxiliary of St George, West End Properties, Adelphotis Zarakiton and the Greek Ladies Philoptohos Society of St George. A very heartfelt thank you to these families and societies for their great support and generosity!! It is not too late if you want to donate towards replacing our over 30 year old lift with a new one!! Call the Nursing Home on 38446063.

THANKFUL TO OUR WONDERFUL VOLUNTEERS
The St Nicholas Nursing Home community and the Board would like to very much thank our generous and hard working volunteers from the bottom of our hearts for making a difference to the lives of our loved residents. Our volunteers give their precious time to entertain, help, sing, chat and bring a smile to our residents’ faces. We wish you all the best for Christmas and the New Year. This month our volunteers were taken to lunch at Nostimo restaurant as a thank you for their generosity and commitment. You guys rock!!!

REMINDER
You are invited to the St Nicholas Day Luncheon at the Nursing Home on Sun 10th Dec at 11am. Come and help us celebrate the Feast Day of our patron Saint. All proceeds will go towards buying and installing a new lift which is desperately needed.

Last Friday our residents celebrated Oxi Day with a taverna night filled with music and dance. The Hellenic Dancers performed a number of dances and Christina performed well loved Greek songs which the residents thoroughly enjoyed.

St Nicholas Nursing Home needs your help to raise funds for a new lift. The current one is very old and rattly and desperately needs replacing. You can help by attending The Saint Nicholas day Luncheon on Sun 10th Dec at 11am or if you can’t make it and wish to donate towards the lift, please ring St Nicholas Nursing Home on 38446063.
