If you are a doctor who has lived and worked in rural or remote WA for at least 12 months, please share your experience of accessing healthcare for yourself and your family with our researchers.
We know that rural health workforce shortages and high rates of staff turnover are exacerbated by doctors becoming unwell, burnt out, or being unable to access the healthcare they need in their local communities.
Our Healthcare Access for Rural Practitioners (HARP) project team is investigating how WA rural and remote doctors practice self-care and access services to manage their own healthcare and wellbeing, and that of their family.
Ultimately, the team aims to translate findings into activities to improve the health of rural and remote doctors and their communities.
