Equalibra
I wholeheartedly welcome you to my business “Equalibra” - equa=equal, libra=balance. My offering to you is that we work together to find you “equal balance” in body, mind and life: through soft tissue manual therapy, occupational therapy and pilates movement therapy. My passion is working with individuals to rehabilitate, restore and prevent soft tissue difficulties and injuries. Looking at what impacts our bodies in life and working to make these things less impacting by building strength and resilience in our bodies for the life we choose to live.
I have experience in working with a broad range of clients (from young children to older adults) with a range of concerns and conditions including (not not limited to): ongoing migraines/headaches, vertiginous symptoms, tightness and pain through neck and shoulders, frozen shoulder, jaw pain, tennis elbow, wrist pain, restricted breath, gut issues, stress and anxiety, bursitis, hip pain, lower back pain, severs, osgood schlatters, knee and ankle pain, sporting injuries, plantar fasciitis, balance issues, supporting clients with scoliosis and poor posture plus supporting clients seeking to improve their performance in their sporting pursuits. If you are in doubt if I can help, please do get in touch with me and I can confirm if I can help, or direct you to someone who can. You can text or call me on 0405265902.
With the general adult community I provide support with injuries, acute and chronic pain, posture and alignment issues, sport performance difficulties and all the concerns listed above. I find my work and therapeutic approaches also help support and ease life stress, anxiety and other mental health concerns.
Working with younger clients my focus is often on improving posture, alignment and re-educating movement for optimal positioning both for study and leisure pursuits. I also find my work with children, teens and emerging adults not only supports their body concerns/pains/injuries but also their mental health by providing manual therapy, mindful movement, and a safe space, to explore and discuss any difficulties they are experiencing. I work frequently with children who are active in sports and have experience working with gymnasts, ballerinas, netballers, basketballers, hockey players and swimmers.
