Some shells, firstly some shells we picked up on the beaches in South Australia, mainly Kangaroo Island, then some shells from a shop in Eden NSW. All in the past week.

Have you ever wanted to create your own signature glass Christmas decorations. These could end up as family heirlooms treasured by successive generations.

I'm holding a glass Christmas Decoration workshop at the South West Rocks Community Art Gallery Shed on 26th October, 2024 - 10am to 2pm. (yes we're getting in early for the festive season) Number of participants is limited to eight and if the interest is there I will be running another around mid November

What will you get - you will make 12 x 5cm square glass and enamel Christmas Decorations. As an extra for the class members you will receive a 15cm diameter fused glass wreath to decorate with coloured glass elements.

The pieces will need to be fired during the week after the workshop and be available for collection the following Saturday (or we can arrange postage for you).

When: 26th October, 2024 from 10am to 2pm
Where: South West Rocks Community Art Gallery Shed
Cost: $60 per person

Time for another feature pumpkin, today it is the Potimarron. A very colorful and tasty variety gets a big thumbs up!

Todays farm gate produce sales was a wash out, 30mm rain last night and about 18mm so far today. On a wet day like today what could be better than some roast pumpkin or pumpkin soup, yum. Check out our wedge test video all about the Lumina pumpkin, we grew a few vines and got about 9-10 very nice pumpkins and these are great!

Weather permitting we will be having farm produce sales tomorrow from 10am to 2pm at 146 Spencer's Creek Road South West Rocks. We have sweet corn, red okra, honey, chilli sauces, bananas (gros Michel), dried bananas, candied rockmelon and many types of pumpkin, including potkin, Macleay Valley Pink, Queensland Blue, butternuts as well as some interesting heritage varieties.

Farm produce sales tomorrow Saturday from 10am to 2pm. We have on offer Corn, Pumpkins (many varieties), summer squash,, red Okra, dried and green bananas, candied and if course our chilli sauce and bush honey. All produced on our pesticide free permaculture farm.

Today the feature pumpkin is the Rouge Vif D'Etampe, a very colourful attractive pumpkin which is great for baking but excels as a soup.

And our Green Chilli Sauce got a 2nd place in the Chilli Sauce Section

The base for our range of sauces are the chillies we grow. From mild to wild. We are entering some of our chillies into the local show. The first photo has green jalapenos, red birdseye, orange habanero and Carolina reaper. The second photo is the Bhut Jolokia (ghost chilli).
