Dr Donald Angstetra Dr Angstetra is an Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon on the Gold Coast.

Dr Angstetra graduated from the University of NSW in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. He completed his general obstetric & gynaecology training through John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle before undergoing two and a half years of advanced gynaecological endoscopic training at Sydney South West Area Health Service. In 2011, Dr Angstetra worked as a pelvic surgical Fellow at Liverpool Hospital, Sydney, mastering the advanced surgical treatment of endometriosis and complex pelvic surgery. Dr Angstetra is a consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals and also a conjoint Senior Lecturer with Griffith University. Dr Angstetra has a keen interest in developing and applying minimally invasive surgery for all benign diseases of the female reproductive tract (especially endometriosis) & his passion for advanced gynaecological laparoscopic surgery see him fit the role as the training-site director of Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society (AGES) and as O&G training supervisor for the RANZCOG training program. He has published multiple articles in peer reviewed journals & presented multiple papers at local, national and international meetings. He is fluent in Bahasa Indonesia, Malay, Hokkien and Mandarin (limited) allowing him to care for women of various backgrounds.
